The current squad are strong at the back and will get stronger when O’Brien and hoggy are 100% The defence is a pretty strong line up not seen much stronger at Town outside of our prem days for a long time In 12 months we may be better if Saar can replace zanka

The model of signing young players to improve and sell on. Would fit Carlos’s model. Which is attacking football and pace.

Neither of those fit our model Jack Marriott would. Reminds of Harry Bunn stature wise and may have a decent game once in a while. Average really

Kasey palmer off to Swansea Injury-prone journeyman. Another one of Chelsea's prostitutes - no future whatsoever at his parent club and being hawked around for hefty loan fees window after window to fill their grasping coffers. Hateful policy.

I believe Bristol City bought him last year, cost a fair bit as well

What are we honestly expecting for tomorrow?
I’d imagine a single announcement that Grant & Kongolo have left on undisclosed deals.
Inwards, I’m anticipating 3:
- Aarons on a short term deal until the end of the season, us taking over the remainder of his NUFC contract with them maybe subsidising it a bit.
- 2 loanees from the PL, one being a young striker the other another wide man/number 10.
Nothing exciting, basically, but hopefully enough to keep us away from the drop zone.
We should be back within budget then (surely!) and able to start planning more long term. I’d expect v little in January with the focus being on a more structured, considered and investment based purchases in the summer.

Just seen someone having their photo taken down Canalside in front of the sign. I’d say in excess of 6 foot with dark hair, white. No idea who it was. Why didn’t you get a photo, we could have finally had an upgrade on the standard ‘Izzy Brown’ photo that circulates every transfer window Wish I had copyrighted that Izzy Brown pic when I took it all those years ago.....might be minted enough to buy the club by now!

I’m thinking something very similar although i don’t think we will bring a striker in.two wingers(one being arrons) more likely possibly a midfielder of some description to be the third.Thought may have got it done today but not to be.

Campbell needs help and Wardy is crocked for the time being.

The problem with leaving it to the last day is that if you have any issues with the deals you have lined up, then its usually too late to switch to another target and get it over the line in time
Ridiculous that all clubs deal in this way. They have months to sort deals out and then there's some poor lass being yelled at come 10.59pm on deadline day because she didn't beat Usain Bolts world record in her dash to the fax machine

All these factors quite often lead to the influx of late deals going through

Maybe I've been around this club for too long, but if we bring in anyone other than that Aarons character, I'll be pleasantly surprised. It's the hope that kills you, you know. UTMT.

Expectations are Aarons - anything more would be a bonus, let’s see what tomorrow brings 1 goal every 14 games, he’ll be a useful addition but jesus if that’s the best we can do after knowing Grant was leaving for the last 10 months, our board want shooting. Plus they’re genuinely accepting relegation and chucking Carlos under a bus.

Even Maynard has got a few wrong in the last 3 or 4 weeks.
No wonder we’re struggling for gossip.
4 players needed by 5pm tomorrow.
Fingers crossed!

It's that things in football change and are never signed sealed and delivered until pen has been put to paper and the player is stretching the high above his head in the main stand
