Even Maynard has got a few wrong in the last 3 or 4 weeks. No wonder we’re struggling for gossip. 4 players needed by 5pm tomorrow. Fingers crossed! It's not a case of getting things wrong. It's that things in football change and are never signed sealed and delivered until pen has been put to paper and the player is stretching the high above his head in the main stand Point being, if Mr Reliable gets things wrong then what chance have any of us got of confidently predicting a specific signing? Just hope there’s 3 or 4 in the pipeline. And hopefully Maynard knows them and can shed light.

Not sure Aarons on his own will sort out our lack of goals but will we have one extra body in.

We need 3/4 in! If we just get Aaron’s we are taking a huge gamble. Seen some positive things said about him from Newcastle fans on twitter but he’s played 70 games in 6 years (5goals).

Let’s face it, whoever we get in:
- will instantly be deemed not good enough - won’t have cost enough - will indicate a lack of ambition - will have been scouted in utero by EpsomTerrier

He’s proving quite good at selling players is old potless. I’m sure Deano will be suitable impressed. What a shower of shit. 1 goal in 5 games. Nearly 30 Championship goals from last season sold. The best part of 30 million made in the window, and we’re getting (another) winger with no goal scoring history. Bravo you useless fuck 👏 Why not sack Carlos now

I find this impossible to believe myself but as we can only play with one at once he may feel we are covered It's clear he wants a team full of pace and energy but we do need a finisher which we do not have or we will create loads and finish nothing Fans quite rightly would be pissed off with 2 strikers out and none in I would say though that PH has done well to get shut of these players and for decent fee If we get in 3 today for those positions we all know are needed then I would say it is an excellent window

Don't think anyone has the number 9 shirt yet.

Will we get a striker? If we don’t oggy and Glennon’s commentary might go like this...
Oggy : “ and that’s the final whistle and town have failed to score for the 6th game on the trot.”
Glennon :” you can’t not replace 30 goals and expect to still score goals. It’s been very naive by Town. Once again bags of possession but we just don’t look like scoring”.
Oggy : “who is to blame Matt?”
Glennon : “ I blame that Steve chicken and Yorkshire live for continuing to write absolute bollox with facts we all know but they clearly don’t”..
Happy Transfer Deadline Day town fans. Prove me wrong Phil?

Everyone hoping for some signings today, personally can only see Aarons and that's it.
Very disappointing window but let's hope Campbell and Ward can stay fit

Don't think anyone has the number 9 shirt yet. We don't want a striker we want false 9. Brave from Carlos as I can't see the goals coming from koroma, mbenza, diakhaby and arrons. I'm not sure if we can get anymore outs other than kongolo today, but we desperately need a new front 3, we will get arrons and a false 9, but we could do with another winger and getting koroma and diakhaby out on loan.

Expectations are Aarons - anything more would be a bonus, let’s see what tomorrow brings Is Chris Willock still not down at Canalside

I wonder if Maynardblue can pop on in for a morning rundown of today’s proceedings? Sans names of course and with the usual caveat of nothing’s guaranteed either way.

Bizarre.

Very disappointing window but let's hope Campbell and Ward can stay fit Do we have any strikers in our development squads who look alright just in case? The likelihood of Campbell and Ward staying fit for 46 games this season is so low. Can’t see either making more than 30 apps each.

We can't go into the season with the current goal threat - Ward and Campbell the only two strikers
We have 2 goals in 5 games and "Own Goal" is our current top scorer
They promised CC the opportunity to build a team
Not counting loans this window we've let 9 out; Grant, Mounie, Flo, Sobhi, Bockhorn, Kachunha, Quaner, Coleman, Simpson ... with Kongolo to make it 10
Again not counting loans we've signed 3; Ward, Pepa and Sarr
Counting loans we had 6 when we restarted (Lossl, Grabara, King, ESR, Chalobah and Willock) and we now have 2 loans in (Eitling and Perriera). You can argue that Hamer, Mbenza and Diakhaby are back in from loan so at a stretch we're 1 lighter in the loan department than in June (and that was a side that only just stayed up)
I hope we end with 3 in today - including a striker. We have three loan spaces so there's surely room to do something here even if it's just until January at which point other clubs might be feeling an economic bite and deals could be had
However, I expect we'll only get Aarons
If it's only Aarons then excluding loans that would represent 10 out and 4 in ... in no way or shape is that helping CC overhaul the team. CC looks decent but isn't a miracle worker

Bizarre. Yeah no great loss, be interesting to track how he does at QPR, be no doubt Phil wanting to pay him 12k a week instead of 15 which whether right or wrong is something we're going to have to get used to.

And if you refer to the loans, then I guess you have to also make reference to the players who were out on loan for the second half of last season too, i.e Mbenza, Diakhaby, Koroma, Crichlow, Edmonds-Green, Hamer, Schofield, Harratt. All of which look as though they are going to play there parts this season, regardless of how much you rate them or not. Lets see what today holds anyway, I'm expecting 2 in, but hopeful of 3.

Just seen someone having their photo taken down Canalside in front of the sign. I’d say in excess of 6 foot with dark hair, white. No idea who it was. Just seen a photo from yesterday. It’s Carlos!! Ooooops

Liverpool want 3 million for the season and wages for Harry Wilson with both Swansea and Derby agreeing to pay it. Crazy Looks like he is talks with Cardiff now. Crazy indeed that a Championship side will pay that sort of money for a loan
