One bit of news we get and i'm praying for it NOT to be true. Today's latest article in the Examiner about Aarons ("2 difficult years etc...") hardly inspires you with confidence about him. A promising local youngster who seems to have done nothing for several years - numerous loans (Motherwell, Wycombe, Wednesday etc) that have led to nothing with only, er, mixed reviews. His stats are bloody awful but I'd hoped there were reasons for that... The reason is.. He’s shite.. 🥴 |

When Maynard said he expected us to sign 3 players today, I really didn’t expect one of them to be David Nugent.
If we end up with Nugent and Aarons, then this third signing better be fucking brilliant.
I await with baited breath..

If it’s Nugent I think we all agree it’s time for Phil to pack his bags. That would be an utter disgrace Won't be Nugent surely - I live in Burnley and my local Burnley and Preston fans say we would be mad - whatever strengths/pace he had went quite a long time ago. |

Nugent is 35 and has scored 1 goal in like 25 appearances for Preston. What a fucking pisstake. Donkeys the lot of them. Clearly absolutely desperate. Perfect match for Town. |

Signing Nugent would look like last minute panic to me. We would be better off sticking with what we’ve got than throwing money down that drain.

Aarons & Nugent and the 3rd is anyone's guess, if the other two are anything to go off I'm not sure i want a 3rd. Nugent has to be in the Alex Dyer sphere of signings |

Any last minute deal will surely be due to us sitting too long to sell Grant and our original targets will have been snapped up weeks ago.
Us in our infinite wisdom say yes to deal at 10 minutes to midnight leaving us no time at all to get a decent replacement.
I'd rather have the academy lads playing than the shit we've been linked with today.
