As someone who uses the recently updated threads feature I'm finding this way of doing it a bit of a disaster tbh

Maybe - we received a suggestion we felt was sensible with an example of where it worked well, could see no significant flaws with it so went with it. For every person who is moaning about it now, there is another who moaned about the old thread/structure.

Maybe - we received a suggestion we felt was sensible with an example of where it worked well, could see no significant flaws with it so went with it. For every person who is moaning about it now, there is another who moaned about the old thread/structure.

I understand I think in hindsight it might have been prudent to make the change after the transfer window had shut so people had time to get their heads round it. It’s the most active thread despite our lack of signings I think changing it so abruptly will confuse more people than not. Appreciate your trying to make the board a better place so not a dig just my thoughts 👌

That’s the dilemma. If a sale is too good to be true suppose you have to snap their hand off.

I know it’s not always that easy but you sell Andy Booth, you sign Marcus Stewart same day. That’s got to be the target and why you need experienced negotiating people.

We are so desperate to get rid regardless of what it does to the team short term.

Much easier to do when you're buying in expensive players and selling or loaning out cheap players and have £100m+ income guaranteed. Unfortunately you can still buy the wrong players - hopefully Leeds fuck it up in the transfer market like we did in the PL.

The link to him has been going on since CC arrived. Has anyone actually seen this Gotts play ? What is he like and is he someone we need right now, would he improve us in the attacking areas ? I know nothing about him

Just met with a couple of mates who support Leeds - they sang the praises of Gotts to the extent that they would prefer him to stay and try to make his mark in the first team. They both thought he would be a great signing for us - they are not the type who see everything wonderful in Leeds Utd either so he's not just a good player because he plays for Leeds if that makes sense. Its just a shame that they aren't telling me about a centre forward who scores goals that is coming to us!

If it's true that Leeds will only let him go once they have a replacement, that tends to suggest he's good enough to start almost straightaway in the Championship, which is what's desperately needed.

The scary thing about the matchday 18 at Brentford was that it only contained 5 players good enough now for the Championship. (Schindler, Stearman, Toffolo, Hogg and Bacuna). Pipa may make 6 but it's too early to know. Ward, O'Brien, Sarr and Eiting should all be, but that only makes 10. When we start playing regular midweek games, a few of them will always be unavailable.

A few kids can always be accommodated but it's obvious we're going to need at least another 3 Championship players to stand a chance of competing this season and hopefully Gotts is one of them.

At the end of the day, CC knows the championship level inside out being at Leeds and he also knows everything about Gotts as a player.

If we get him, then CC clearly rates him to make an impact straight away at champ level. So we trust the manager right? Or are some of you not even happy with that and still believe it’s all Bromby and Phil?

Same goes for any of their "promising youngsters".
Bringing on players, like Drinkwater, Chilwell and ESR for top clubs is bad enough but just acceptable. But I want nowt to do with helping develop players for them fuckers.
