Just because they want to give him a 6 year deal it doesn't mean we should be paid over 6 years. The majority of deals are structured that way nowadays. Town could take out a loan If we wanted full fee upfront and pay it off with the instalments from WBA + interest. Palace did that with the Wan Bissaka deal which Man United are paying over 5 years. |

So if we sell for £15m, that’s £13m profit. 22.5% of that is around £2.8m. So we’d get around £10m (give or take) once all is said and done? Crikey. £15m minus the sell on of around £2.8m is what we'd get so around £12.2m, paid in installments Don't forget we have the Tax Man to pay, he will want the full amount in one payment, not over the lengh of the contract. |

Quite glad it’s not the loan deal that was talked about. If WBA came back down to Championship, he came back to us, not long left on his contract and having to find a buyer all over again.

Charlton are not the VAT man, they can't charge for presumed profits. Just like if we have a profit clause in our sale to WBA (which I assume we have) We would pay Charlton any of their percentage from that when it happens. It is very, very complicated. |
