Don’t worry, Phil tells me Jaden Brown will score loads playing left wing.

In talks for £16 million with WBA That £16m will not spend long in the HTFC accounts. It will fund the club for one season! The parachute payment has to pay off a bank loan that's due soon. We might get £4m in TV revenue and some season ticket revenue, but not much else and with an £18m plus wage bill we need some income from somewhere.

Do West Brom just write the cheque out to Dean, or does the money actually come into the Club, then go out again?

Do West Brom just write the cheque out to Dean, or does the money actually come into the Club, then go out again? Straight to Deano's coffers so he can have another gold tap installed, it would be laughable if it weren't so tragic. Deano did good for Town but in all honesty I'm a Town fan first and foremost and he's totally fucked up his legacy at Town, any goodwill he had with the fans has mostly evaporated now.

Think grant is well over priced at £16 million, but the way the club is run at the moment if we sell we gain nothing as the money won’t be reinvested so from a fans perspective deffo don’t want to lose him.

Dean won't see any of it either! I think we just have to accept that from the moment after we stayed up at Chelsea, until the moment just before Stewart was sacked, almost every decision that was made ended up being the wrong one - with a few exceptions such as Grant. We ended up 'blowing our brains out' financially and this season we're still paying for it and the pandemic isn't helping. If we can get to the end of this season without getting relegated and bringing a few of the youngsters into the squad we'll be in a much better position than we've ever been. I'm more a 'happy clapper' than 'moaning fucker', but generally a realist. The club 'fucked it up' in the PL, but it can't be undone. Hopefully if we ever get there again we'll have learnt the lessons. Plus, especially for the 'Potless2' poster and friends - nobody is making money out of Town! Dean Hoyle MAY get most of the cash he invested back - without any interest! He certainly hadn't had anything for the time he put in, or the time he and his wife put into the Foundation. PH is certainly getting nothing out of the club, except for a load of abuse from a number of so called supporters.

I've not really bothered with the financials thread.... But isn't dean getting 75% of what he put in back, leaving himself a 25% share? On paper it seems fair until you look at how we invested over the years. At the time in league one when we were throwing money at sheeeet like Anton Robinson and Lionel Ainsworth I always thought that was his money. It's like going out with a pal for a piss up 10 years ago and he's chucking money all over and you're lapping it up having a great time. Although just recently he's tracked you down and handed you a bill that comprises of a list of drinks, a bag of sniff and two pricey hookers.

Karlan Grant won't get 10 goals in premiership 16 million west brom getting robbed and what will we pay for a replacement striker? I beginning to think Hodgkinson is like Boris totally clueless less than 2weeks to new season and we got a possibly dodgy keeper an Ward in not very inspiring is it?

Deanos mistake was not selling to the Chinese or Americans. He gave something to Phil worth 80m at the time, he can't just give it to Phil or phil would have benfitted from the 80m. So he offered it to phil on HPI. Problem we have now is phil is driving around In a Range Rover but he can't afford the petrol to run it.

Its a diesel Range Rover so certainly shouldn’t be putting petrol in it. Surely if we sell Grant Town should use the money to pay DH off quicker - so once he is paid back we can stop going on and on about the money he lent the club in the first place.

People slating Deano are ridiculous!
Picture the situation, you buy a house that is in ruins, spend a load of money to do it up and make it worth more than anyone would imagine. You spend 10 years there, make friends in the area, have a great time but due to illness you want to walk away, downsize and let someone else enjoy the house you once loved would you simply give it away for free??
His only error is selling to man with very shallow pockets and a very big mouth

His only error is selling to man with very shallow pockets and a very big mouth That's a different scenario totally. To be honest I have no problem with Hoyle getting his money what fucks me right off is it appears to have hamstrung the club financially, if Hoyle was such a great Town fan as he claims I'm sure it wouldn't have hurt for the repayment schedule to be over a longer period. I not sure the club will ever recover financially from this calamity when it could have been oh so different.

The saving grace Re grant are his wages which are relatively low therefore we are likely to get circa £10m. Is he worth that ... not in my opinion wish we could have signed Toney.
As regards WBA wouldn’t mind a deal where we get Zahore on loan in part ex

Does every thread have to descend in to the same people saying exactly the same thing about the same topic over and over again?
It's been done to absolute death now it's beyond boring.

Eg the money he’s had to invest to keep the club afloat through expenditures he’s signed off that have ultimately been losses. Phil paid c£1m for his 75% shares in the club, don’t confuse this with loans.
