I doubt more than 2 of them will be offered new contracts.

RVLP currently without a club. No one wants him for free it would seem. I don't know why anyone would be surprised at that

Next summer is when we really need to go for it and give Carlos the players he needs Im assuming the following are out of contract: Hamer Schindler Stearman Elphick Hogg Pritchard Diakhaby Campbell Thats some serious money off the wage bill and will allow Carlos to really start to shape the squad in his image Of those, I'm not even sure how many of them would stay on. Schindler, Stearman, Hogg and Campbell are the only ones I'd like to even be contemplated to be kept, but they are all over 30.... Elphick, I'd be surprised if he plays again. Pritchard, things just haven't worked out here. Theres a player in there, but it's just not working here. Diakhaby, enough said. Hamer, well, if he does leave then we just have Schofield... Regarding this window, I'd love to see some moves, but seriously, I'm not really expecting any changes other than Rolando Aarons. I'd like a striker for sure, but whether or not we will get one is another matter. If we can hold onto Toff and Pipa, that'd be a great result. Reading this, how far have we fallen in such a short time.

Very sad how quickly we’ve managed to become the same club before Wagner, but least we had the promotion season and one good year in top division. Watching town is predictable now at least my expectations have well gone, unfortunately so will a huge amount of supporters when covid has gone.

Time to back him Phil. This 5 striker bollocks won’t wash anymore, Bristols squad depth won them that game where as our bench there was nobody to change us the game and not even a striker on there (despite us having 5)
It’ll be a season of being unable to get any real run going as we can’t change our squad enough to cope with the demanding fixtures.
We looked absolutely shot after 60 minutes and the game was only going to go one way after that.
FRUSTRATING!

The 5 striker statement is up there with the “sleepwalking “ one.

If most of us fans can see it then why can’t the powers that be, we need investment to properly back Carlos or I’m afraid somebody will come in for him that is prepared to back him.

Fuck knows what possessed him to say we have 5 strikers. We might have had 5 strikers before we sold Grant and Mounie, but now? Absolutely no fucking way do we have 5 strikers that are good to go in the Championship. We need to properly invest in January if we can, as the squad (and in terms of strikers especially) is thinner than paper thin.

I’m getting past the point of being bothered anymore. We all knew weeks ago what was required with regards incomings in the last transfer window and zero happened and I’m doubtful anything meaningful will happen in January. Fair play to Carlos, he’s managed to polish a turd with some players but it’s very much 2 steps forward, 1 step back, and he’s doing the job with 1 arm tied behind his back.

Sent from my SM-A515F using proboards He's already working miracles. So far this season he's been expected to win games when he's played a third of the season without a recognised striker on the pitch. Campbell has played 600 of the 900 mins total. Talk about having you hands tied.

Phil and Dean - I presume you know the window opens then - how much do you think we can get for Lewis and Harry ? Enough to afford the Motherwell/Wycombe loanee If we don’t sign a striker winger attacking mid defensive mid centre back and keeper We will have lot more money to pay dean earlier and enough left for Phil to buy the club from the sale of O’Brien pipa and Toffolo 😚🤓😉

Throw in pipa too. Phil will be rubbing his hands with his performances. Good summer holiday for Phil and the Mrs when Lewis Harry and pipa all go in January and we bring in nugent and arrons. The 2 wins paper over all the cracks and Phil is very much to blame for this poor window. Sack the board and give them the club

I know were struggling to find a centre forward to compliment the 5 we have but should we be worried I've just seen Mick Harford in full tracksuit walking on Lindley?

According to Man United’s Loan Manager, there’s an expectation on clubs to play their loanees for a certain amount of games.
Not sure what this will mean for Joel Pereira.
I assume he’ll be recalled in January if his situation at Town continues like this.
Although in all honesty, would it actually matter?
I can’t imagine CC will play Pereira for the sake of making the Man United Loan Manager happy.

I expect that's probably the case for most of their loanees, but I think the deal here was just to get him off their books a bit quicker. This is the final year of his contract there & I expect they don't plan to renew. Not really in Man U's interests to recall if that's the case. We're giving a chance to somebody they don't feel will ever make the grade there. It's a win all round for him to stay here really.

In that case, I think you’re right. Maybe he’ll sign for us on a free next summer then 😉

Even for RS though, it's not a win, but not really a loss either. If he can't displace Pereira from the 2nd choice berth then is he good enough anyway? I expect Pereira will be 3rd choice once Schofield is fully fit.
