Linked with him - see hereCentre back, 20, previously at Villa but moved to Scunny. Villa paid Bury £900k for him a few years back but her never made the grade there, although he was a mainstay in their succesful U23s side. Out of contract in the summer - fits our buying patterns as in January we could get him relatively cheaply. Apparently Barnsley, Luton and Rotherham also interested.

Given that we already have REG & Crichlow as young CBs trying to force their way in ahead of CS, RS, NS & Elphick, I question whether this would be the best use of resources.
Can he play on the wing or up front?

Can he play on the wing or up front? Suspect, if anything happens, it'll be seen as an investment as RS and Tommy Elphick are ageing and Schindler, sexy as he may be, is knocking on and not too suited to this system. Whereas potentially this guy as one of 4 or 5 CBs next season may be useful.

Surely we’re gearing up for a CB exodus in the summer.
Elphick, Stearman and Schindler all out of contract I think.

Fair point, and if that's the case then it would make sense to integrate the new guy as soon as possible. Particularly with the injury situation at the moment, this might (assuming he's good) make more sense than it appeared a month or two ago.

Think the guy is looking too return home so if that case we should grant him his wish great servant deserves some respect and also free up wages.

Would think it will be almost certain Schindler goes back to Germany.Real shame doesn’t look like will be a full house to give him a send off.Would agree also that elphick and stearman will more than likely leave the club.Maybe stearman gets another year as replacing 3 centre halves could prove tricky although with hopefully a return to a normal schedule next season would we need 5/6 on the books.

Wasn’t it said in the summer that we were happy to let Schindler leave as he wanted to return to Germany? He just couldn’t find a club to offer him a wage anywhere near that he is getting now.
Makes sense to sign another CB. I’d be tempted to offer stearman a one year contract on a reduced wage as he would help bring on the younger players.
RCN needs to go out on loan soon anyway to get some game time.

Appreciate that I wasn’t very clear!
