Goodbye Shindy and thanks for the memories, some of the best in my life watching Town!
Only positive we can take from that is we now know Hoggy is seeing out his career with us.. Thanks for that Chris 😉

To obtain legendary status at a club you have to be there more than 2 years. Players like Chris Schindler, Andy Booth, Johnny Hogg who have put in the appearances and busted their balls for the club in good times and bad, thats what earns you legendary status. Not I'll be here 2 years, run off to Brighton then to China for the maga bucks. He was here for 3. Booth "ran off" to Sheff Wednesday to be fair.

Coming back for Hoggs testimonial in 2 years time. I suspect there might be a full house on that night. Best of luck Schindy, thanks for very special memories. I have that painting of you knocking the penalty in on my office wall. As much as i'd love that to be true, it won't happen. The fence sitters will not put their hands in their pockets as proven by the pathetic turnout against Man U in the cup.

Andy Booth hardly’ ‘ran off’, there was no indication that Andy wanted to leave the club of his birth and the £2.7m received from Wednesday was great business for Town as it funded the purchases of Andy Morrison’, Andy Payton and Marcus Stewart.

Announced on FC Nürnberg website that he has signed. Lovely comment from him that in his entire career he has played for clubs with big ttraditions. OK so 1860 Munich and FCN aren‘t Bundesliga sides they do have great histories, particularly FCN. What a player, will be missed. We‘ll never forget some great performances and the unbelievable winning penalty at Wembley. Schindy, Alles Gute und weiterhin viel Erfolg. UTT.

Great interview by a great bloke. Shame he's such an ugly bugger or he'd be almost perfect.

Its not my idea...

I've only seen the 3 minute clip of the interview that's on Twitter. I'll be in bits by the end of the full length one. Pulse mentioned him leaving in the news bulletin and my bottom lip was going. I actually had a message from a concerned family member asking if I'd heard and if I was ok

It sounded like he expects Hogg to have a testimonial in 2 years. Any idea when those typically occur? I might try to make it over for that.

I dont usually fawn over players but i never have and never will say a bad word about him, the ultimate pro and a decent sounding bloke to go with it, its a bit sad hes left on these terms as i once read one of the reasons Wagner signed him was because he rarely spends time out through injury, and its because of injury we haven`t had the chance to see him over the last few months.

What a fucking man. You really can't underestimate the impact losing his character will have on the dressing room.
Fuck it, ditch CC and bring Wagner in and lets have the German Revolution II

You might even decide to migrate here... :-) I do actually prefer the weather. We have about 4 months that are perfect here but another 4 where it's either too hot/cold to even take a short walk outside. I'd take a lot of 3/10 weather days over the variability here.

Absolutely gutted to see him leave. He'll be one of the few remembered from that promotion season and the first season in the Premier league. I'm happy he's got away from the club. As bad as it sounds I just feel like the club is at the moment isn't a healthy place to be. Every season I hope we can turn to club around with some positive attitudes and mentality but at this rate, not even Heff could lift us up. You sound a tad over dramatic. If the Hef couldn't turn it around, Hodgkinson needs to have the club put down. 🤪

Whilst the news wasn't exactly a surprise, it's still very sad to see it confirmed. A complete gentleman and a club legend. It gives us all an incentive to go to Hoggy's testimonial in a couple of years.
I genuinely can't remember when I was last this disappointed to see a player leave (maybe never?). Good luck for the future Christopher - you gave me and my son our best moment in our Huddersfield Town supporting lives.

Hope Hoggy invites the rest of the promotion squad including Wagner, Mooy, Heff and Lowe.

Knew it was coming but still gutted. Watching him take that penalty at Wembley is a moment that will be with me for the rest of my life. Thank you Schindy for helping a small town club dream big again. Outstanding player, inspirational captain and club legend, you'll be missed.

Actually think it just shows how shite and how little this club thinks when they can't even resist ending a tribute video with a 20 second ad on flogging season tickets. Just let the video end on Schindler ffs Absolutely agree... Let our best defender I have seen in 39 years a season ticket holder go.. Then advertise season tickets to watch a shit team that won't have this guy in it.. Instead Keogh and Sarr.. This club is run by a bunch of clowns... Thanks Schindy a great player, not only talented but always giving 110%. The model pro.

The 2016 recruitment strategy of bringing in club captains from the German second tier was a masterstroke. Character should be prioritised at least as highly as athleticism and technical ability in our recruitment this summer. The German nucleus of Wagner, Schindler, Hefele and Lowe was a big part of that for me. All were gentlemen in their time at the club as well, a great time to be a Town fan. Although I still don't get the soppiness of social media (tin hat required :-) ), he will go down as being massively influential during a short period of history at our club, and as you say, let's hope we can find that formula again soon. Best of luck to him with Nuremberg... b I’d add Kacha and Col also
