It is an interesting article. The one thing I hadn't really thought about was that no-one can actually go and watch any prospective targets play. You are reliant on watching videos or live streams of matches. That is no way to judge a player, especially in live games when you can't see anything 'off the ball' - or if you're watching an iFollow match you don't get to see the ball if they decide to show the managers or some random replay at an inappropriate moment!

So we've made more signings this window than the entire Premier League combined. Not bad at all when you look at it that way.

You are reliant on watching videos or live streams of matches. That is no way to judge a player, especially in live games when you can't see anything 'off the ball' - or if you're watching an iFollow match you don't get to see the ball if they decide to show the managers or some random replay at an inappropriate moment! It makes the point of people demanding transfers sound stupid. Particularly when they're lambasting Diakhaby's signing without watching him yet want the club to do that again. I hate some people's idea that any signing is better than no signing. Its also ridiculous that some people are so certain that players from other clubs are clearly better than ones that have been here before. One example of this was on Facebook. A poster on there was slagging 350+ Championship games/26 international caps 34 year old Richard Keogh for only being good enough to play in League One, yet thought we should be enquiring about Cheltenham's (just turning) 31 year old Ben Tozer who has played just 4 times above League Two level in his entire career... almost certainly because the BBC was making a big deal about him cos they were the FA Cup underdogs vs Man City. |

It's no surprise clubs would want to see a player in person and get a feel for their attitude/effort before signing. Imagine buying a house on photos alone without having viewed it? We all know the dangers of a good youtube montage  |

Didn’t need a CB when a ton of our experienced CB’s are out? Didn’t need a CM when Eiting is out? No point in signing a few talented players because we should only focus on the now but then in a few years time if Grant or Thomas was tearing it up for someone else we’d be saying “wish we signed them kind of players?” Yes a striker is needed but who’s to say we haven’t looked and none are available at 1-2m that are what we need? Who’s to say the players we have identified at that price aren’t interesting in joining us? Who’s to say Carlos hasn’t said no I don’t want a striker I want these areas first? Please show me where I said 'likes of Holmes havent contributed yet' If you read properly I said, Holmes hasnt played yet. Are you saying it was better to get these in instead of a striker? Of course strikers are available, it's about finding them, which is what a scouting team does. And I know this area more than you. Keogh if anything has stalled Crichlows development. We have lost both games he has played. Schindler will be back in a couple of weeks. We will then be left with keogh taking Crichlows place on the bench. Thomas & Grant wont play for the 1st team this season. Aarons - fair enough, he has played okay, but when Koroma is back what happens? We should have hit the loan market for a couple of players for a month or two. Then we arent committed to them when injuries are back. I highly doubt CC thinks we dont need a striker. |

Why aren't clubs versed in the new legalities of signing foreign players? Surely the clubs legal teams should be guiding them through the pitfalls and advising them where players can be signed from without problems?

Haven’t you been watching? We’re not going to play a 442 diamond or any other system that doesn’t require inside forwards. CC is going to stick to this system whatever happens - even when we lacked numbers in that area after JK’s injury and before Aaron’s arrival, he played Bacuna, then O’Brien out of position on the left rather than change the system. Yes I have been watching and he has switched to a 352 before. You have to play with what you have. |

They created a tab for Brexit on their website when we were out, I have no idea why, perhaps just a cosy little home for their brainwashed remainer staff to go and sit in the corner, rocking side to side, sucking their comforters? They created a tab for Brexit on their website when we were out, I have no idea why, perhaps just a cosy little home for their brainwashed remainer staff to go and sit in the corner, rocking side to side, sucking their comforters? It can't be much use because on the 28th Jan, it hasn't been updated for 6 days, so it is a bit like the stick-in-a-bucket-of-water effect? You're the one obsessing.....again. Others are talking about the relevant points it's raising, including Covid possibly being a bigger impact. With out getting political it does make me laugh when the PM or Home Secretary say the lockdown rules are very simple and everyone understands them - they might be simple but I think the last announcement was the 68th change to the original.
