We've signed five players. I dont think any have departed? If you go on any other teams forum you'll see that their fans would be chuffed with five new bodies through the door. If you go into.town you'll see most of the shops are shut. The pandemic has affected football too ,UTT

And we have sold all our best / valuable players for somewhere close to 70 million and are left with a threadbare squad , one striker long past his best and a chairman who asked us to judge him after 3 windows ...... well I’m ready to judge

Tell me who everyone else is signing in a January window in the middle of a pandemic? I know it doesn't suit the "entitled " who feel that their football club exists to fuel their masturbatory needs during transfer windows . But the truth hurts Re the striker issue . Look down the road at the utter consternation of Leeds fans month in month out In the championship as bielsa refused to buckle and buy a striker. And even when he did he carried on picking Bamford. I know you'd like to use it as a stick to bash over Phils head but if you are hoping for a sexy front pair (fnarrr fnarrr) it might be best if you found another hobby till corberon has departed

I thought I had started a light hearted thread for people to add lots of short quips on the transfer window.

It seems the B team is more of a priority than the 1st team. We need quality not quantity. This window has been utter wank. Regarding Bamford, he is a lot younger than Campbell, and he actually scores goals. He has scored more in the premier league already than any of our strikers did. What has CC got to do with this? Cant believe you compare campbell to bamford

Love the constant patronising use of the word “entitled “
It’s plain to very many of us that we need a goal scorer after selling all of our goal threat.
How is that being entitled?

There are people on here wanting "marquee" signings and saying they won't renew if we don't sign a striker, sums up entitled for me.

I’m not counting the last 2 windows given where we are in the world. I am though with you on the striker part, been saying all January it won’t help our cause in any way by not signing someone who will bag us some goals. Still got a couple of days to go this window so hope (however slim) remains.

People are asking for a striker who can out the ball in the net. Not once has anyone said marquee signing

Expecting a “marquee “ signing is totally unrealistic and I’m sure most reasonable fans do not expect this. I have only seen one poster requesting this in fairness. Many of us ( me included ) bought multiple season cards for this season but, even though there was always a threat of us not attending, elected to leave their money with the club. I would describe this as “loyal” not “entitled “.

In fairness I would have thought we'd try our very best to loan a striker of some sort this window. With Ward out, regardless of your opinion of him, we should be looking to bring another body through the door.
I dont feel like I'm being entitled saying that.

When I use the word "entitled " I'm not talking about fans wanting a striker . This is a football.discussiom board and its a valid point of view to want a striker. But that's a footballing decision . Fat Phil isn't on the phone to Carlos saying " no you can't have a fucking striker but I'm happy to sign you a winger " . But all the ire heads towards Phil? As I said look at Leeds and what happened there . Radrizani appeared to be begging bielsa to sign a front man but bielsa was pretty stubborn in this respect. I'm sure if Carlos wants a striker he will get a striker

Calm down, take a deep breath. You mentioned leeds fans regarding needing a striker and mentioned Bamford. Similar to our fans right regarding Campbell. I was saying that the difference is, Bamford scores goals. Campbell doesnt. So you cant compare the two scenarios. I dont care what you or anyone else says, but we need a striker. Leeds didn't. Now go for a walk or something to calm yourself.

I think the underlying problem and frustration on this subject is the fact the most have recognised not having a “proper” striker in our squad is a major issue that does not appear to be a priority for the club. Yet we watch that magnificent 2nd half performance on Tuesday and all realise that we would have won that game if we had one player capable of finishing. In fairness, this hasn’t just been an issue since Tuesday, it’s been an issue since the Summer. This situation is magnified for me when ( as I’m sure we’ll see again on Saturday) you look at the game changing potential on most of the opposition benches and compare it to what we have.

The first part is Ted's point: Leeds fans were desperate for that they thought would be an upgrade on Bamford but Bielsa wouldn't budge. As for the bench, I imagine there's a good few of those opposition players that their clubs would rather were not there.

We created the square root of bugger all chances last season yet Grant knocked out 19 goals (of which many were penalties).
This year we create more yet I doubt anyone is going to get more than 15.
Speaks volumes of you ask me.
