Nothing surprises me anymore. Yes I believe it was Hoyle who insinuated he threw the teddy out. Agreed, Rhodes is still better than anything we have but I very much doubt it will be the fairytale the club are desperately thinking it could be. The one we should have gone for was on the bench for Brum the other night. Clayton. Why do we need someone with a stupid beard and that's blowing out of his arse after 20 minutes. To be fair if we want that I can start training now. Not promising 20 minutes but got the rest covered.

Couldn't play as a Pressing Forward up top on his own when he was 22, but I'm sure he'll be able to now at 31. Why not play a striker up front to SCORE GOALS, not "press" ? A novel idea perhaps but seems to work in the Premier league.

If he’s as good for us as the last time we were in League One he’ll do.
Joking aside and clearly hoping we stay up, he’d be a better option than some who we have in the squad - as a squad player, he’d be a decent addition.

Really hope this isn’t true. Then again, it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. Bromby is so far out of his depth I feel a bit sorry for him now.

Some don’t, but still get picked. Why do you think Rhodes and Novak worked the first time? Cos Novak did all the legwork. But we won’t be playing 2 up front will we, if CC is still here.

I’m sure Mr Hoyle came out and said about Rhodes, whether it was directly from him or his dad/agent “he under no circumstances wants to play for Huddersfield town again!” Went after the money, his choice granted but is this what we’ve sunk too now? What’s pilks, Alan Alan lee and peltier up too these days?

I starting to think that Bromby asked for Football Manager 2021 for Christmas but Phil has pulled a fast one and got him Football Manager 2011.

No problem in having a proven goalscorer back, even if he hasn't set the world alight at Massive. The thing that I can't understand is how does he play in our system?

I suppose if we go with the 3-5-2 then he'll have someone up top with him. But even if we play one up top I don't think he'll be utterly out of place, Campbell pressures a lot, that's his game, all Rhodes would have to do is token pressure and force defenders to move it on quick. He's not bound to be the main striker either so having him as an option isn't a bad thing. He's on circa 35k+ atm but when they let him go he'll be on nothing and his next contract will be nowhere near what he's on now, same as a lot of players out there. I think he also lives local so will probably be looking to stay up north

Just received a DM stating he's agreed to come. Won't say from who. If true I hope the contract is more sensible than the one we gave Danny Ward. I heard this too. His Dad still lives in Holmfirth. Only a rumour, but hopefully true.

Are we supposed to try to cobble together a team that can play as 10 men every week in the hope that something drops to the striker. His all round play was always piss poor, if he didn't have the scoring knack he'd never have made it as a pro.

Get what you mean but from what I’ve seen he’s still got this knack. Personally, as long as gets the right service I think he’ll still score goals.

Country Roads is one of the great pissed up sing-a-longs so all’s good in the hood. It’s up there with Daydream Believer but we can’t change the words of that one for our returning Prodigal Son.
Country Roads pisses all over Sweet Caroline IMFO but the daddy of them all is Lovely Day.
