The players signed since our relegation from the Premier league, seems to show a bit of a theme. Ward... free,no club Sanogo...free, no club Niasse... free, no club Vallejo... free, no club Campbell... free,no club Sarr... free, no club Elphick...free, no club Simpson...free, no club Leutwiler...free, no club Aarons...fee ? Or free ? Phillips... free Koroma... small fee Grant... small fee Thomas.. small fee Keogh... small fee Holmes... potential small fee Lossl... loan Smith Rowe... loan King... loan Challobah... loan Willock...loan Pereira... loan Eiting... loan Stearman... mid size fee Toffolo... mid size fee Pipa... mid size fee Players currently making up the 1st team squad Rowe... academy Duhaney... free/academy Brown... free/academy Schofield... academy High... academy O'brien... academy Critchlow... academy Edmonds Green... academy Good job there was no need for a firesale as we had been prudent in managing our finances. I agree... With all of that. But.. The flip side is; Pritchard Diakhaby Mbenza Kongolo All cost upwards of £8m and have done sweet FA. Fee =/= quality Koroma is actually an argument for this policy, he's one of a few players who's value has actually gone up. Toffolo as well. We could sell either or these guys and it would pay for pretty much everyone else's transfer fees. Its the risk the club have opted to take. Can anyone remember who the last marquee signing was who wasn't absolute dross / injured / old? I actually can't think of one. We have to remember that despite an impressive start, Koroma has only ever had a good quarter of a season. He wasn't great last year so when he comes back it will be interesting to see which Koroma returns. Especially after a long injury.

I feel absolutely shit this morning. If Rotherham get 4 points from Coventry and Brum we are well and truly fecked. Getting relegated from where we were at Christmas is some achievement. This feels like the 1970's all over again, the club has imploded and we are on a one way trip to League 2. Two seasons ago with six games to go Rotherham, in the relegation zone, won - their third win in six games - to move onto 39 points. They then picked up just two more points in their final 6 games. An on the beach QPR was always their most winnable game in this run if home games. Im annoyed but still feel they have a lot, and probably too much, to do.

When Hoyle bought the club I was sitting in the north end of the Riverside lower when he walked up the steps past me,I stuck out my hand and we shook hands,I was chuffed. Now I am contemplating having that hand amputated,I can,t wash it clean enough!

Rowe man of match already Feck knows why Carlos hasn’t played him more Or when he does why he’s often been stuck at LB or LWB. I’d start Rowe and Thomas... in the front 3. Let them attack and run at the opposition.

I admire your confidence, but if QPR are on the beach we must be floating on a bloody lilo. Rotherham will fight to the very end, something we have forgotten how to do. They were miles better than us last week and they have an easier run in.

Toffolo and Pipa show you can get decent players for a small sum, we aren’t even spending that when you look at the list.

I don't know if it's been mentioned I can't be arsed reading 25 pages but Billing was absolutely fantastic last night. Completely ran the show for Bournemouth in my opinion.
Massive shame not it ended with us but I still think it will make it to a top team in the next 2-3 years

Its also worth pointing out that whilst we're condemned as bottlers not putting up a fight, whereas Rotherham are this team battling hard for survival, over the past 8 games theyve only actually gained 2 more points than we have. Town 8, Rovrum 10. Our fixtures over those 8 games have been the much tougher too.

It might not be the amount people want or think we should spend, but its far from being 'literally nothing'. These loans arent free. Smith Rowe's loan cost £1m apparently. Player fees where applicable, agents fees, signing on fees, loan fees. Kings wages alone will have been more than we bought Toffolo or Pipa for and he barely played. The straw that broke the camels back for the Cowleys was them agreeing to Simpsons demands for a big signing on fee just for that extra month's extension end of last season.

Transfer fees paid guarantee nothing, but fans want to see a £1M signing rather than one costing £100,000, similarly they like players to come from Manchester City rather Notts County despite the number of cases that prove the contradictions. The worry for me is that according to our fans two of our worst players this season (I’ve only seen a couple of games on tv so I’m not in a position to argue) are Danny Ward and Duane Holmes, by our own standards we’ve pushed the boat out to secure these two, if they are anywhere near as bad as claimed and we already know for a fact Ward’s injury record already supports this, then the worry has to be what the summer recruitment is going to produce. As for Town and where we are currently I would suggest the vast majority of Town fans, certainly those that come on here, were delighted that a few months in to this season the manager was rewarded with an improved contract, now there’s a rallying cry for him to be sacked. Fickle, foolish, frustrating ? Yes, probably. We just want to be proud of out team again because right now that’s not the case.

The Carlos poll would not bear out your “rallying cry for him to be sacked” comment. Lots understand where the real blame for this mess lies. It’s a million miles away from been “fickle “

It’s a million miles away from been “fickle “ I’m not shouting for him to be sacked, simply highlighted the point that we “all” saw it as good business to improve his contract before Christmas, now there are increasing numbers, even if they are still a minority, saying sack him. No point rehashing the way the club is being run, it is what it is - I just want things to improve, same as every Town fan.

Lovely spring weather today, fancied a day out, so went to Spurn Point on the Humber estuary. Bit of a slog from the car park to the point, 7 miles return trip, but a beautiful spot on a nice day. Anyhow the point is bumped into a chap en route, got talking, turns out he is a Rotherham fan. He can't believe we've been sucked into this, but we were both of the opinion it's Wycombe, Wendies doomed, and just the last spot up for grabs. Told him it won't be you on recent evidence, he doesn't think it will be us, so we agreed unanimously on Wayne Rooney's Derby County!

Yes loans cost a fee but just look at the long list of frees etc, there is a serious trend appearing too and that trend is clearly moving to no loans and free, no club. That’s the point that is being made.
