I've got till June to do it. I'm in no rush.
Up to the club to prove to me that it has some ambition.

If your not fussed about attending every home game and willing to take a risk on getting tickets for away games then it's a no brainer not to renew. The only stand that you might struggle to get a few seats together in will be the Kilner Bank.

But even if you're only going to go to about 8 games then you might as well get one so really for most I would have thought it would be a no brainer to renew. It's not as if you can look at the fixtures and think great there's 6 games that really excite me and I must go to those and not bother with the rest. There isn't one that fits into that category for me personally, that probably comes down to having watched us for 50 years and i've seen us play all these sides countless times. I'll be renewing.

in some repsects I get fed up sat in the same seat, in the same stand all season. Before I bought my current SC about 4 years ago, I'd pay at the gate, having chosen which of the 5 stands I wanted to be in, and where I could sit..if I didn't like the seat I could move to another unreserved seat without upsetting anyone.. I suppose this still harks back to standing terraces where you could just wander around anywhere you like. Obviously when the stadium started to fill up under Wagner this wasn't going to be possible, but next season we could be back to 12- 15,000 gates so plenty of spaces to chose from. Some might consider me anti-social not wanting to sit with the same people every game, but tbh the guy next tome is about 7 foot tall and man spreads so he can fit in his seat, meaning of course I have to shove his legs out of the way...there's also nobhead in front of me who swears all game.. maybe I should have a box to myself...if I could afford of course.
So, it'll be pay at the gate for me..and of you see a grey haired old geezer pottering around looking for a seat, you'll know it's Detox...give us a shout !..

Agreed. I can’t see his logic in the post you quoted. I’ll be renewing even though there’s no way I’ll go to every game. It’s just easier and in any event, the cost is minimal - works out at £4.78 per week for a year.

I am mulling over whether or not to renew my season ticket, but like you my reason is the BLM bollocks and i know of two work mates who are not renewing for the same reason. I have watched Town from being a kid in the 67/68 season but this season could be different. Its really got on my tits this year ..if this is how football is going so be it...i will spend my dosh else where. I honestly just don't understand where you're coming from. Even putting aside whatever 'political' reasoning you might give for not supporting BLM I don't get why you wouldn't just get to your seat a few seconds later, savour your beer, etc. Why let it ruin your day when it can just be ignored?

I’ve sat around the same people for about 10 seasons and we all get on well and have a laugh and great banter. I’d hate to have to sit somewhere else.

The introduction of politics before the game has finished me ..i cant and wont keep my mouth shut it will lead to my arrest..i cant come to no harm listening on portable dab whilst walking the dog.

Good thinking Birchencliffe, one cannot have any other opinion than go with the agenda these days. In fact not having an opinion is viewed just as bad. One has to wholeheartedly agree with this bullshit that is going on now. Best to steer clear, I will be doing the same.

Although I understand the points about political statements in sport, as supporters we do need an awareness of the issues. We have a lot of non-white players, especially younger ones, the Clarets Cup final was a good example, and given the problems that exist in this country and abroad I think support needs to be shown by us. A lot of the younger lads playing for us have moved here from other parts of the country or abroad and they may well suffer discrimination, either directly or through social media. Them knowing we understand that and that we are behind them, I think, is really important.
Others, I know, will disagree and feel sports events should not be directly linked to these issues. It is a valid opinion but I don't think it stop you supporting your club.

I have moaned, winged, threw the mud at our owners and club the last few months and threatened not to but of course when it comes down to it I’m getting a season ticket. I can’t wait to be back there, and who knows, if we sign a few gems, anything could happen.

Partly because Im sick of all this meaningless virtue signalling that has to be waded through before a game can kick off, but also because when fans are back in you will get negative reactions to it which will just drag up the same tedious arguments and counter arguments repeatedly.

Will players still be taking the knee next season? I don't know Mate, let's hope not. Personally feel it ran out of legs long ago but of course, there are still folk on social media behaving like divs and abusing players. These types will never learn and players can take the knee, stand on their heads or whatever before ko but things won’t change in their universe.

Is the finance option for season tickets only open to existing season ticket holders? I'm wanting to buy one for me and my old man for his 60th but that option only seems available to existing holders

Will players still be taking the knee next season? I don't know Mate, let's hope not. Problem is, next season when fans are in the ground, there is bound to be some reaction if they are continuing to talk the knee. This would no doubt bring it all back into focus and they would carry on doing it. I bloody hope not.

Despite another horrific season I’ve now decided that I’m going to renew my 2 season cards tomorrow. I just can’t face the prospect of not going to watch the club I’ve loved all my life.

I am waiting to see what will happen in in the summer. I am thinking that if we keep picking players out of position and and CC can't work out how to get a team to play together I am more likely not to get a season ticket at the moment. The reason is that if we do get round to supporting CC with the correct players he dose not have what it takes to get the team ticking.

Feel exactly the same will also be renewing, even though all I get from my wife is why have a hobby that costs you money and makes you miserable! I guess it is now to late to change after 60 odd years being a town fan.

Customers will need to decide whether they will be getting good value for money.
Supporters aren't burdened with such dilemmas.

It's about ambition and desire to better the club. Do the current people behind the scenes at the club want to see us do better?

Perhaps the Limited Company should remember it's supposed to be a f*****g club..... .....& then the supporters might find it an awful lot easier to think they weren't just customers.

Sell 11k at most, due to possible covid restrictions, and fans concept of how the club is operating at this moment in time.
