You have read the thread title? Still, he took the pay rises, he took the adulation, he took the plaudits, then he took off. Mel, this is becoming an unhealthy obsession pal. You seem to be blaming him for everything that happened after his departure as well. That’s what the usual suspects do at my work; blame the former colleagues who have moved on. Where have I blamed him for EVERYTHING that happened after his departure?? What a daft thing to say. I've said the rot set in on his watch. I believe it did, he wasn't the sole contributor to the start of the demise, but he has to take responsibility for a significant part of it. The unhealthy obsession is with the fans that can't recognise his shortcomings, especially when things started to turn difficult for the club.

The only daft thing going on here is your tiny clique who cannot or will not see the wood for the trees. Like Andy, I’m out as it is relentlessly boring.

So when he said we will meet again I didn’t expect it to be in the away dug out managing the baggies

Might be on his way to WBA: I don't like the idea if DW turning up at ours with another club, but I'll certainly give him a massive round of applause when he does Just a great man

I always hated the idea of seeing him managing in England for someone other than us.
Don't think many West Brom fans will be happy with him over Wilder though.

Grant to bag the winner against us & Wagner to run down the JSS touch line. Evens.

WBA fans almost unanimously against it, some very strong comments. They don't deserve him. He promoted us and kept us up, they've just gone down with a whimper and think they're better than him? Hope they go bust!

Really don’t want this to happen.
But if it does, when he comes back for the game, I’ll clap him until my bloody hands fall off.

Feel bad for him getting pelters from the WBA fans before getting through the door. He built a really united club here and it’s hard to see him getting the same time there.

Feels very much like his career peaked with us. A perfect storm where everything just came together, almost impossible for that to happen in the same way again. The success ratio of our signings the summer before our promotion season is almost unheard of

Think he could be a success there....if he gets a good relationship with the owner going and the fans get behind him.
Unfortunately neither will happen so he’ll be gone by Xmas, shame as I really do believe he will get them back up. Is Buhler going as no2?

The success ratio of our signings the summer before our promotion season is almost unheard of Given a decent pot of money, say £5m and I genuinely believe with us, he would mount a decent challenge for promotion. For me, a manager returning, especially with the majority of fans behind them is completely different to a player coming back

More likely we will go for Warnock

If we can give Holmes a 3 year contract then we can get Wagner back. He belongs here not fucking West Brom. Instead we are stuck with Corberan who has as bad a record as Siewert

The success ratio of our signings the summer before our promotion season is almost unheard of He's had 1 job since at what is a total disaster of a club, as shown by their performance this year. There's no reason why he's peaked with us. I wish him all the success in the world at WBA. He deserves it.

town vs west Brom then first game plus picture the scene. Carlos waits over a year to meet the fans and we spend 90 mins declaring our love for Wagner

BBC are treating it as a story now: www.bbc.com/sport/football/57408245Would still be very surprised, I thought the Wagners (as a family) were keen on going back to Germany only a couple of years back. Maybe he's missing his drinking buddy, Jürgen Klopp, for their fortnightly bevvie?!

Even then, aside from his promotion with us, he did get Borussia Dortmund II into the 3rd division, but that was 7 years back or so - a long time in football

Seeing him in a West Brom baseball cap will kill me a bit inside . Legend is used too often in football but he truly is. I’ll clap my heart out for the bloke
One thing we do need to remember is his teams don’t score many so sit 10 behind the ball and we’ll probably draw 0-0!
