Been a while since I bought a Town shirt for myself. Might just have to buy 2 this season

Did they not say on a recent podcast that the kits are designed 5 years in advance or something similar? It would seem to me that they've simply thought, 'What do the people of Huddersfield love as much as town??? That's right, the NHS! That'll sell some more kits, let's just say we used the colours from the uniforms and blag it' Then realising they'd probably have to make some charity donation to be able to get away with it, they added on the cost of the printing. Seems a weird one imo. Where did you hear that? 5 years in advance? The contract with the kit sponsor doesn't generally last that long & Umbro, Adidas, Nike, etc, set the templates each year where you get a little wiggle room for adjustment. With that reckoning nobody who are now at the club chose this kit?

It's more like 18 months >> www.htafc.com/news/2021/june/what-goes-into-making-a-town-kit/By which they probably mean about a year in reality from when anyone at the club gets involved.

Has Rhodes been in a punch up? Injury from last game of season for Wednesday at Derby. Photos will have been taken a while back.

Ahh thanks for clearing that up, according to the article it starts 2 years to 18 months in advance then.

What a lucky find it was for me by picking Huddersfield Town to support ! Yet another beautiful strip to add to the many many others I have and I look forward to adding this thing of beauty and the goalkeepers one (though I need to try to see if Luke or the shop ladies can find a 3xL in the goalie one). Lovely touch involving NHS staff as well as the donation for name and number which I always get apart from the home top. Given that ma late gran was nursing before and in the war and my mother had a glittering career (48 years) as a midwife, specialist nurse and ward sister, and my sister is currently front line and just off a 12 hour night shift, then it’s a nice touch for me who can’t even watch casualty than I get the boak ! So I appreciate what they do for sure. I doubt it would come into the design strategy, but another reason I like it quality design apart, is that it is similar in colour to the Scotland top so as a Scottish based Huddersfield Town fan I’m happy... Please please though Town play better in it and get better results than Bonnie Scotland has this last quarter of a century !!!

Can’t say I’m a fan of the new away kit.
Call me blasphemous but I do think the new Bradford home shirt looks decent.

Really like both kits this year but is it normal to have a home and away shirt in the same colours (albeit different shades). Doesn’t that defeat the purpose? Or if this a cunning way to ensure the third kit gets plenty of run outs?

Yeah it’s probably only any good for a kit change away from home against sides who play in white (5 I think). 9 away games against sides in red where we should wear home kit. 9 games we’ll need a third kit.

Trying to maximise sales of the away and third kits probably

It's a shame we seem to have dropped the 'good cause' rotation of away shirt sponsorship, but every penny counts I guess 🤷♂️

Wow ! Town really do sometimes think outta the box with merchandise ! I like it and will be buying it for sure. ( I also really like the away top). The training top looks like a mish mash of Scottish saltire flags, but it’s very fresh looking and will catch the eye for sure. It could look the way I’d wrongly button up a shirt if really on the piss back in ma heyday of heavier boozing ! If I wear it on a rough ferry crossing to The West Island while propping up the bar, it might just tip the seasick brigade and their stomachs over the edge... They had better not projectile their spew and puke all over it though !

In a week where the phrase 'gesture politics' has been banded about a lot, I can't think of much of a better example of it than Town charging £48 for a 'NHS heroes' themed away kit, and only donating anything to NHS charities if you shell out a further 10 quid on name and number printing! I could be wrong but i think town make little/nothing off selling individual shirts, umbro do so im guessing we are donating from printing as thats our own profit

Afternoon everyone, I'm just about to pre order the new home shirt for my sons birthday but was also looking to get him the presentation jacket. It seems quite expensive but looks nice. Was wondering if anyone has one and if the quality is ok or not. I can obviously go down and have a look but was just going to order online. Added the picture so you know which one I'm on about - thanks Attachment Deleted

Added the picture so you know which one I'm on about - thanks View AttachmentI’ve purchased these presentation jackets for the past few seasons 6px and I’d say they’re very smart.. then again I’m biased toward my own choice and of course Huddersfield Town. I’ve not got this seasons version but the previous seasons were very nice to wear and felt classy. As I said, I’m biased, but many fans of all the other teams in both England and Scotland here have commented on how good they look so that’ll do for me (and I don’t possess the most heavenly body for sure) ! My advice.. Go for it and having done phone orders they are happy to take things back that in my case didn’t quite fit, though it’d be worth clarifying things in these Covid times are still the same. Enjoy showing off your new Town attire.. I always do !

What is a 'presentation jacket', is it something to wear when collecting a trophy?!

Yeah I think club shop is closed but isn't the Packhorse still open Porroh ? And I remember that one, it looked smart to me.
