Just out of interest I'd quite like to know why it's OK for the Scots, Welsh and Irish to vocally and passionately hate the English but as soon as someone offers the same in return he's called out for it? It's cos the English are ***** Every nation has it's fair share of c***s, especially the aforementioned Scots, Welsh and Irish.

Has any other England manager ever picked 4 right backs in a squad for a major tournament? Probably not any other but Southgate picked Walker, Alexander-Arnold, Trippier and Ashley Young for the 2018 World Cup. Admittedly Young was pretty versatile but he also picked Phil Jones who could play there at a push too.

Like KennyK2 says earlier in the thread. Living in Scotland you have to take it on the chin if Scotland beat us. Luckily I think the last time for football was in the playoffs for Euro 2000? Anyway one of my old Scottish work mates used to buy the top of whoever England were playing in the next round of the competition we were in to wind-up us English. Must have cost him a fortune. Said I would do the same thing and buy a shirt of who ever Scotland played in the knockout rounds. As of now I have never had to buy a shirt 😊😊😊 Hopefully that will continue past this tournament.

Dunno, maybe those of us who don't give a fuck about England 🤔 I've already started rebuilding Hardians wall to keep those third world fuckers out so you might want to work out which side you want to be on soon. Shouldn't you be supporting Ireland being a Celic fan anyway? 🤔 I can't understand any Englishman supporting Celtic, they hate us passionately

Just out of interest I wonder how many other fellow Town supporters share terriersyndrome's views that I and my fellow Scottish Town fans are third-world fuc**rs who should be kicked out. Just out of interest I'd quite like to know why it's OK for the Scots, Welsh and Irish to vocally and passionately hate the English but as soon as someone offers the same in return he's called out for it? They'll all have their "anyone but England t shirts at the ready"

I went to Scotland vs Nigeria just before a World Cup, and there was massive flag split into four - a flag in each corner. Scotland, Nigeria and England's two other group-stage opponents in the WC....that Scotland hadn't qualified for. Almost funny how petty that was, bless'em.

I once got on a train at Darlington to travel to York as I was going out for a few beers and watch an England game. Anyway the train had travelled down from Scotland and was full of the Tartan Army, as they were playing Brazil at the Emnirates the next day. So a bit of banter was exchanged and one said to me 'We'll be supporting Slovakia today', can't remember the team we played, 'and you'll be supporting Brazil tomorrow'. I replied, 'No, not particularly bothered. I hope you do well, I always do if you're not playing us'. You should have seen the look on their faces, talk about fallen. It's all one way. Can't get rid of the bloody badge

terriersyndrome You may think that every Town supporter is English, but you're wrong. We support the same club but different national teams. If you can't handle this without resorting to the comment you made, then that says much about you. Yet the comments made by Scots about the English are OK? I'm petitioning a referendum to kick them out. Watching them trying to stand on their own feet would be hilarious. Well our wee place would stand on it’s own two feet terriersyndrome. 3228 people in the last census and billions away to the exchequer in excise duty in whisky tax. Whatever way it’s re distributed from either inept government at Westminster or Holyrood we see very little back much to the annoyance of the natives. We are one cash cow that The London and Edinburgh governments are in no hurry to be rid off. Per head of population we contribute more than anywhere else in the Uk to the exchequer, hence the reluctance to hang on to our wee bit anyway. Today I am meeting a lovely couple from Huddersfield currently here on holiday for a wee pub session, we’ll be proudly kitted out in our Huddy Town attire and have a great day. They are talking of relocating to here eventually and they like here as much as I like Huddersfield and Yorkshire. They’ll be made most welcome here and rest assured terriersyndrome neither myself or anybody else here will be starting petitions to kick them out or building barriers or walls at the ports to keep them out !

Meanwhile I saw on the news that a “section” of the reduced England crowd at Boro last night Booooo’d the team for taking a knee, then it cut to Gareth Southgate who mentioned it’s not a political stance that some might not agree with, it’s showing support for our players, last season (not the one that’s just completed but the previous that was interrupted by COVID) there were a few occasions like Northampton and Millwall when fans Booo’d and they were subject to a witch-hunt, with bans for life for being racist.
Presumably the football authorities are starting to take a different outlook now, it’s a well worn path but surely you can object to taking a knee without being a rabid racist ( of course you can also object because that is what you are but the two can be exclusive ?)

Meanwhile the Denmark squad has been released. Lossl and Zanka going back to Denmark for first team football has paid off and they're both in. Billing misses out, perhaps a bit harsh considering his form in the second half of the season. Or so he thinks at least- he's up to his old tricks again in the press badmouthing a manager that's dropped him. Says he's considering switching allegiance to Nigeria, which I think would be good for him as Denmark are a lot more stacked for midfielders and Nigeria qualify for most World Cups.

Well I’m not a millionaire or anywhere near being one rabc, nor am I a third world fuc**r either ( though I feel like one financially after an awesome long weekend in Huddersfield’s pubs, restaurants and club shop ! ) but more than happy to enjoy the spending and they’re more than happy to receive my Scottish cash for their finest products thankfully. I guess if Hadrians wall is being rebuilt, then it’ll have to be a speedboat to Ireland for me, down to Belfast and the ferry to Liverpool and onwards to Huddersfield ! Maybe I could treat maself to a plane trip and toast the wall builders with a malt whisky as I fly over the building Locus ! No matter the obstacles, win lose or draw, if health (and covid restrictions allow) I’ll always enjoyed going to see my beloved Huddersfield Town !!!

She's 10x the leader fucking Bozo is No she's not she's useless. Under her SNP leadership/Government everything has gone backwards, Education, Health, child poverty, drug deaths. All things that are devolved to the Scottish parliament and apparently we should judge her on. But everything is the Tory government in Westminster's fault, never hers, and the majority of the Central Belt of Scotland fall for it every time. Just to clarify things, I also think Mr Tumble would be 10x the leader Bozo is, so would the empty Lucozade bottle on my workbench

Just a reminder that we really need to keep this civil and that we are straying into quite a contentious, some might say nasty, side of politics. I'm sure there is an SNP thread in off topic somewhere and you are quite welcome to bump it and add your opinions. Just remember you have it lucky, being entrenched amongst the North British for many years, it will be me that has to take it on the chin if England lose to Scotland in the forthcoming game. I also have to put up with one of my neighbours flying the flag of England's opponent's prior to every England game. Tell him you'd do the same if only you knew when they were playing 😉

I think it may have been a Euros in the early naughties. England were playing Portugal and the masses of the Tartan Army descended on Aviemore in kilts and Portugal shirts with ABE printed on the back. The police station in Aviemore is about 500 yards from the centre of the town and talking to a policeman on duty that afternoon, there was an enormous roar when Portugal scored that he heard inside the station.

I read this somewhere Denmark has an unofficial law called Janteloven consisting of 10 commandments, the first being: “Don’t believe you’re better than anyone else.” The majority of Danes do not like people being cocky and this is one of the reasons most of us love Christian Eriksen. I wonder who Billing thinks he should replace?

If Phil can scrape an Irish relation up from somewhere he can then be irish and give that a go. I always wanted to play for Tenerife..😎😎 Like Phil there was only one thing keeping me out of the national football team: I was not good enough!!!!

You should be kicked out for Huddy Town imo Has been amended Tedchipster... Sometimes a lot of us Scottish lads and lassies use shorthand in vocals and texting and writing and I’m no different especially after a few beers like I’ve already had to top up for a pub meeting with two lovely HUDDERSFIELD TOWN fans from Honley on holiday here at 3pm. Unfortunately the the two words you dislike (see your own comment) will probably be spoken a lot today by me, by even the holiday folks, and by some native footy fans ( I didn’t say fitba) ! It’s just the way of the world in these shores. I’m happy to be corrected, but I think at some of the Town matches I attended, there seemed to be a chant / song that ended with something like ‘Hudders’ sounded also shorthand, but please rest assured it most definitely didn’t offend me !

I've been to Scotland you're not from another universe . I've watched town since 1974. Been to about 80 away grounds. Has season tickets for about 35-40 years in total. Read every book. Bought every video every DVD. Listened to every radio programme every podcast Hogged datm for over 12 years. Sat in pubs and clubs chatting about the town. Now I may be mistaken but in all that time I believe that NEVER EVER EVER EVER has anyone said ---or written "Huddy Town. Until you tipped up . Hope this helps and enjoy your beers
