Imagine the crap that would go down those slots and fester underneath. In the hands of children it'd probably qualify as a biological weapon after 6 months

I already had Tip Kick, an early version of striker
Just a player and a goalie on each side.
It seemed a big upgrade on subbuteo but then striker came along, Chad valley Big League was knocking about but you had to paint your own players?
I bought the waddington game where your players bases were like tiddkywinks..
We had leagues and away games for striker and subbuteo..
My best man still mentioned a Celtic win over wolves that was disputed from when we were 9 years old..
Brilliant.

My cousin once got one for christmas and brought it down when visiting on christmas day, i ended up accidently breaking some players cos i was hitting the players heads too hard, in fact you wern't meant to hit their heads hard, just press them gently..ish, oh well.

I had one , when you set the board up there was a green ribbon that was fastened with metal clips to form the edge of the pitch. My board was bent up at the edges after a while and the ball always rolled back into the middle . A bit like when we played at odsal top against shitty when the pitch curled up on the speedy track.

Being absolutely football mad I used to re- paint the players every week in different club colours. Had Subbuteo as well and saved up for ages to get the Brazil team from Barkers Sports Shop. 2 days later my next door neighbours dog ran off with Pele.
