I’d say that’s a pretty fair comparison. Absolutely not, I remember on undr the cosh the hosts who have played with him saying that if he doesn't score it's like playing with 10 men. Since he joined Wednesday in 2017 he has 5 assists, Bamford has 8 in just this season. The workrate required to play Bielsaball is incredible, Rhodes is an odd signing. And yet much of Bamford’s career he was labelled as ‘lazy’ as far as I can remember?. Im happy to see what Carlos can do with Rhodes.

Waxing lyrical over a Leeds striker, formerly known as Mr D Onkey, and giving up on Town 8th highest ever goal scorer before he kicks a ball in his second stint. mmmm

And last season some Leeds fans were questioning why Bielsa stuck with Bamford.

Must be a record attempt.
Slag off the signing of Rhodes on as many different threads as possible.

I've always thought having a football 'philosophy' is a bit of a luxury, especially for Championship teams. Unless you're willing to pay through the nose for top quality players sticking to the same style for 46 games a season won't get you anywhere. In the Champ teams run the gamut from quick passing to hoof ball to low blocks, and we need to set up for each game with the opposition's strengths and weaknesses in mind. Not to say that we can't aim to play good, consistent football, just that versatility is an underrated virtue.

All teams have a general style. Many play differently away to at home but still have a core style. Analysis of the opposition is done by all managers, so there must be some attempt to negate them at least.

Teams will naturally have certain strengths/weaknesses based on the players. For example it's not our style to have a keeper who struggles to deal with crosses, but it is a weakness we have that other teams can exploit.

Precisely that, and as well as improving the keepers ability to deal with crosses we can adapt to teams who like to play out wide by, for example, limiting how much the full backs get forward in certain games.
