Do not seem any lower than they were a few weeks ago when that was the final reduction!

Overpriced tack at the best of times. Isn’t the saying overpriced tat rather than tack ?

Can I still use my premier league pledger voucher? No... Dean wants them back! I actually never used all of the money that DH refunded to me having paid full-up price early for the EPL season card. I'm pretty sure that we got about £100 refund, but I know that I only used about forty of it. Last time I tried to use the voucher card it "the system" no longer recognised it so I gave up.

Overpriced tack at the best of times. Isn’t the saying overpriced tat rather than tack ? Yes, but careful! You don't want to be accused of pedantry again do you? Misheard expressions linkAnd as for tack... "Different tack", not "different tact" The tack in this case is the direction in which a ship is travelling. It's not an abbreviation for "tactic".
Another good one on there for a certain someone on here... "Moot point", NOT "mute point"If the cap fits...

Can I still use my premier league pledger voucher? I think if we wear our Premier League pin badges in the club shop every thing is free

As MT posted I’m already on thin ice with pedantry, Dave Gorman and his Life is Goodish show did a whole episode on sayings that are changing, such as It’s a doggie dog world. Personally I’ve never heard of tack although tacky fits same as tat would be tatty. I’ve always used Dull as ditchwater ( as in dirty water from a ditch ) but apparently what I would consider to have been misheard, Dull as dishwater ( as in dirty water from washing dishes ) is considered as equally valid. Back to your point, I wouldn’t call all the shop goods “tat” but as is commonplace with football themed goods they are overpriced, a £5 tee shirt at Primark wouldn’t sell for £20/£25 by adding a clubs badge to it.

Send a letter to Big Phil and get him to knock it off Hoyles bill.

Really makes me wonder the profit margin on some of these items especially shirts.
Bottom line is clubs will charge what ever if fans are willing to pay

Bottom line is clubs will charge what ever if fans are willing to pay Premier league clubs shirts for example cost maybe between five and seven pounds to produce, but sell for far too much, clubs only get a percentage of sales though and nowhere near as much as some peopel would imagine, although the biggest clubs will sell literally millions worldwide.

Not just premier league teams at it with football kits. Iv’e just bought and received the 2020/21 Dumbarton FC top for £42, the shorts for £15 and the socks for £5. Including postage a total of £64.50.... That’s Dumbarton of the part time football backwater (some might say) Scottish League One charging that. Made by a company called Joma, quite smart looking and I’m helping my local community club a little by buying the kit. Looks like I could’ve got a 3XL Town top for £20 instead of the £48 I paid for mine, but I really wanted all three tops and a good few training tops and zip tops as well so had to pay the bigger price to get ma hands on them. The beauty of living in Huddersfield is you could wander down to the club shop regularly and assess how much stock is left in the garments you want to purchase. Anyway, there’s no point in being the richest guy in the graveyard ! So I’m happy to spend on the very (mostly) classy gear HTAFC produce and to a far lesser extent on a tiny scale, in comparison to Town, that of Dumbarton FC also.

It's a bit more of a wander these days. The town centre shop is now gone, and there's not much of an attraction to visit the stadium when there's no game on.

The cheapest option for delivery - £5 is a bit steep. I sound like a cheapskate but I'm not paying £20 and a quarter of that is just getting the thing to me. There should be alternative postage options to just either £10 or £5. It wouldn't even be going out of West Yorkshire.
EDIT: Not a dig at the club, just something that I imagine puts off more than just me. I could get a very similar product elsewhere and pay less than half the delivery. The delivery cost is therefore costing the club to miss out on money.

I was down the stadium getting my Microchip upgraded on Monday and was going to pop into the shop and grab a shirt if they still had my size as £20 is reasonable enough, but they were both shut.
The 'main' shop near reception was pretty much empty with railing piled up and only the odd but of stock still in place. Looked like they were having a refurbishment possibly.
I appreciate there may not be massive demand on a weekday, but with a steady flow of people (fans) going for Covid Jabs, and the fact its coming to holiday season they may have missed a trick having them closed, especially with a sale on.

It’s the same at this stage of the year, every year. They have to get prepared to receive the new season’s shirts and other products. Totally understandable in my opinion.

Not a big shop to stock, bit of over time or close the shop for a day for a re-model. Can’t sell product if it’s not ok the shelf. Definitely missing a trick.

The shop is too small for its role and stock. In pre-COVID days we just got on with it. But even if all precautions are officially lifted come August, I suspect that this has not been properly explained to the virus and the missus and I will still take what we consider sensible precautions. Amongst other things, queuing in a congested, airless shop will be one of those activities that will have to go!
