I didn't realise he was an amputee? š® Apparently he was signed as a box ticking exercise so he could be nominated for SPOTY.

I didn't realise he was an amputee? š® Yes, he carries a luminous baton in his left hand to aid his balance.

He bloody better start being involved - his inclusion might sway me to attend on Boxing Day In the South Stand?

He bloody better start being involved - his inclusion might sway me to attend on Boxing Day In the South Stand? Cheeky that Pete. I'll likely stick to my designated seat, but let's hope it's a good game, a decent performance, and a lively Boxing Day atmosphere. Merry Christmas. Hope you're as well as can be expected.

Will never be the same but I'm positive and cheerful and grateful for that

This is what Grant had. Seen Carlos say in his presser today they have high hopes for him. Rejecting loan enquires indicates that. Heāll feature for B team again tomorrow

Heāll feature for B team again tomorrow if thatās what Grant had, then I can see why they are managing his workload and taking their time to bring him back. Better to be cautious than to regret.

I wonder if Bayern fans will cry on their fan forum that he should be at least on the bench in a few weeks and the manager is wank for not picking him.

I wonder if Bayern fans will cry on their fan forum that he should be at least on the bench in a few weeks and the manager is wank for not picking him. Tbf, the Bayern fans have been told exactly what is wrong with their player and we havenāt. Unless I missed it, I had no idea Grant had a similar condition and thought it was continuous ongoing injury problems possibly linked to over training.

If you search āDanny Grant injuryā there are countless reports from last year, though they do focus on hamstring injuries so fair enough. I would also add to that, only my opinion, if the club say he isnāt ready, then he isnāt ready. Whatever the reasons are is between the club and the player, if the player wants to let the public know, via the club, then thatās up to him, if he doesnāt then thatās just tough.

Makes me laugh people booting off that he isnāt on the bench, as if the fans have his medical history and seen how heās been performing in training.

A lot of fans want to see him, your post makes a lot of sense though, the time has to be right for him to make an appearance, can't just chuck him in to please us fans.

Iām pretty sure he is highly rated and has done well in training/matches. But 100% agree on medical history. I also think thereās an element of protecting the player - if the club gave updates all the time people would not react well and call him a crock etc.

My comment referred more to fans having a dig at the club with comments such as āwhy isnāt he given a chance?ā Without actually taking a step back and having perspective that it tends to be for good reason. Iāve also seen it numerous times with Harratt on āwhy isnāt he playing he must be better than what we have?ā. Who hadnāt even scored a professional goal despite a few short term loaned to non-league teams previously. I do think Harratt has a lot of potential also and hope he kicks on at Vale, but I also understand that there is a reason why he hasnāt featured yet.

Managing minutes in terms of his return from injury, or managing minutes because heās playing on Saturday?

Managing minutes in terms of his return from injury, or managing minutes because heās playing on Saturday? It was only a week ago when Carlos said they had to be careful with him & manage his minutes, it's only his second B team game after returning from injury. Very much doubt he'll be playing on Saturday.

Looking through the B-Team match reports he's had the following minutes: Nov 9th: 18' Nov 30th: 45' Dec 7th: 65' Dec 13th: 68' Jan 19th: 45' Provided his withdrawal today wasn't due to any sort of niggle, I wouldn't be shocked to see him on the bench on Saturday (I believe he was with the first team squad again for the Swansea game).
