To the community.
I never expected to accepted by the current ADMIN team, if i put my name forward or not, I was doing it to raise a point of the closed shop that it has become and the purge of good posters that has gradually happened over the past 18 months. The current ADMIN team do not represent everyone on this forum, they do not understand the characters like Nick, Moaner, Otium to name only a few. They talk of equality and then throw the minority under the bus. These posters most likely had mental health ailments, depression and venting and creating friendships on here kept them going to a small degree, both positive and negative relationships.
Ive been proposed and seconded to join the ADMIN team, something im willing to do for those that aren't represented and those generally bullied off here by snowflakes making spurious reports. When a community is ruled by Committee and you are a member of that club/community a proposer and seconder is all that is required to become part of the general committee in this case the ADMIN. Grims refusal throws into question the legitimacy of the current committee. It not for them to choose, its for the members to choose as their job is to serve the members.
Id like to blow open the ADMIN closed shop and involve more people who are democratically elected.
Dislike me (mainly) or like me, I have now put my name forward and the community should insist that I am elected in the democratic way. We are giving over the running of our fans site to people that currently don't follow a fair and democratic process.
Over to the ADMIN team, are they going to show that they work for the members or as suspected they are on a power trip.

You make them sound like this government 🤣 its a community/club, which requires that you sign on as a condition of membership, it should have a constitution, if it doesn't have a constitution then the general constitution of election of officials applies until one is in place. If i was been pedantic, i could request the minutes of the meeting where the current admin team were appointed and the proposer and seconder..... but i dont imagine that exists. |

In all seriousness, he raises a good point in that the admins do seem to have a fairly similar leaning and it would be good to have a more mixed outlook. Don't get me wrong, if there is a bias, centre left is probably going to be the lesser of all evils.
Maybe we should have a trial opening for someone like him or Slapps?

If there was to be further admins appointed it should go to a board vote with all those throwing their hat in the ring known, and voted for.
I don’t buy into one person stamping his feet to get a chance. Let’s have a democratic vote if there is to be changes.

In reality, non of that should be necessary, anyone whos a member of the forum should be able to become a member of the Admin on been proposed and seconded, there is no board of ownership. If you get a rogue ADMIN then due process is followed by the chairman or super ADMIN allowing time to meet the required standards before they are relieved of their position or require re-election, The board should be a minimum of 5, but it is allowable to advertising for the position of the 5th member after an AGM. The site should really fold with only 3 elected officials as there isn't enough accountability. Not allowing members to join raises questions about the intentions of the current ADMIN, what do they need to hide? |

If townrwe calls a transfer correctly and before anyone else before the window shuts, it should automatically go up for a vote. Call it wrong and he's barred from talking about it again. Ever.
