Townrwe keeps offering to be admin, and this is dismissed out of hand.
Should he be given a trial period in a role as moderator, along with a new addition to the site rules that abuse of admin privileges (as judged by the majority of admins) would result in an instant one month ban from the forum?*
He does seem to have a history of being a bit of a twonk, but equally has offered up past experience as moderator of a sporting club forum, so perhaps he is grown up enough to take the responsibility seriously - let the people decide.
Snap poll, closes Friday evening.
*admin should be seen to act squeaky clean as behavioural influencers, there should be no real issue with this rule modification, as none of the admin team seem to have blatantly abused the position since Terrygate.

If we need another mod, why not.?
He is allowed to post what he likes about town and their dealings and can be as much 'in the know' as he pleases for me. We have the full spectrum of supporter on here from the raving optimist to the doom laden pessimist, like any football team.
If we need another mod, let's get one.

The danger here is we are at risk of throwing the baby out with the baby water just because of the Otium case.
Nothing against Otium and I’ve not voted on the polls regarding his exit.
But I feel the Admins do a sterling job and don’t need anyone else. Let’s liken this tenuously to MI5, hear me out. They never publicise the terror risks they eliminate, so as not to spook the public. The Admins don’t publicise all the threats, comments etc they get so as not to disrupt the board. They just adjudicate on issues reported to them.
Maybe the Admins are not the issue; the people who post are?
