Tbf to the good people at Harrogate, whenever I'd seen Austerfield for them he looked to me like a fish out of water.
May just have taken a while to find his feet, much like Chalobah here.

Phillips on the scoresheet for Exeter, hit the bar earlier too.

Phillips on the scoresheet for Exeter, hit the bar earlier too. Just seen it, ran half the length of the field and had his 25 yard shot deflected in by a bloke stood next to him 😁

Potentially REG vs Crichlow in the Lg1 playoffs.
Although Crichlow isn't getting much game time, so even if the 2 sides meet they may not line up against one another.

I might be generous and give him an assist there but it certainly ain't Phillips who scored that.

I think Chalobah was nothing special in midfield. I recall the difference was instantly clear to see when he played at right back. Or is my memory playing tricks?

Bad analogy perhaps. Point stands though that if Austerfield was still playing for Harrogate at the same standard I saw him at he wouldn't be getting rave reviews. Glad he seems to be finding his feet.

Is REG now eligible to play for Town now that Rotherham's season has completed, successfully? And he scored! Could he be on the bench next Saturday?

No, his loan period runs until the end of June I think- which is when the standard loan period ends. Obviously the actual season ends before then. He can't play for us until pre-season.

Yes, I have just been looking on transfermarkt and that lists his loan contract to be until May 31st, which if correct means he is on the beach until then.

Perfect replacement for Colwill is REG for next season.

Perfect replacement for Colwill is REG for next season. Apart from one being right sided and the other left 🤔

REG scores in a 2-0 win for Rovrum to seal promotion. Meanwhile Plymouth - who looked like potential opponents for them got bummed in the gob at home by MK Dons.
Fuck em. Serves em right for leaving Romoney out of the side.

Perfect replacement for Colwill is REG for next season. although he is right footed as others have said, I can see him stepping up into playing on the right of a back 3 for us. Lees and Pearson have been fantastic signings but REG has such quality with the ball at his feet and I can see him being the long term solution. Rotherham fans absolutely love him, so if we don't end up in the same division next season we should send him back there for another year.

He's not 19, he's 23, loan him out and he's 24 when he comes back. Regardless of division, if he's been playing brilliant stuff,it would be wise him to be in the squad and pushing our players for a place.

How did the Donnie fans rate Ben Jackson? Not that highly according to the one I work with. Still a young lad and plenty of time and potential to become a very good player for us

Last game of the season Exeter v Port Vale - both sides with plenty to play for.
Hoping that both Phillips & Harratt get games.

Paul Warne has openly stated he wants to keep REG at Rotherham but understands that may be a problem.
It probably hinges on what division we are in.
I wonder how much he would be worth if we were to sell him to Rotherham on today’s market?.
