Hi Chadders. No idea you were such a veteran like me. You must remember that famous FA Cup clash in the early seventies. 3-3 at your place followed by 2 replays. It's a shame they didn't have penalty shootouts back then, because we always win them. I'll take another 3-3 the week after next π Yep remember that , went to all three games at Victoria Ground , Leeds Road and then winning it at Old Trafford

Great cup tie though, back when the FA Cup was something special. A repeat this season would probably see 9 changes on each side.

Very disappointing at Old Trafford, but good times in general.

I was 11 but still remember Frankie passing the ball to Gordon Banks thinking he was offside. Shouldβve put us 4-1 up. Over 40,000 for the (very dull) replay. Listened to Bryon Butler on the radio for Old Trafford (likely one of the few times that great commentator did a Town game). Still remember him describing the long throw (Mike Pejic?) leading to Stokeβs winner.

Yeah, have a very happy birthday Chadders, but take a bit of time off from 3-5pm, just so you can enjoy the rest of the evening more. I hope it's the start of a long throw, err, I mean long love affair for young Rory Stanley with your club.

Happy birthday Chadders. Have a great day - except between 3pm and 5pm. Hope your grandson enjoys himself but does he know what he's letting himself in for? π

Got to predict a Stoke win 2 0 if only to get my grandson ( Rory Stanley)ππ of to a great start Is that really his name Chadders or just a joke? ...If true TBF I think the "billing" is wrong, how can you put a long throw in front of a dribble. Have a great day (despite the result), hope I live long enough to share the first game with a grandchild.

Many happy returns to the best non-Town poster on this forum. At your age, Chadders, I expect you have to have the local fire safety officer in attendance when they light your birthday candles!
Hope you have a great birthday weekend except for a really miserable 90 minutes wedged in at 3pm tomorrow π
