do you have to print it out now? Yes I printed it out . I was going to use my phone but noticed that it does specifically ask you to print it out. I've ordered two for Saturday,I bet they don't turn up.

Just incase anyone wasn't aware, there's no pay on the gate tomorrow so you'll need to order a ticket online.

I ordered mine online once I had cracked the “my account” puzzle. The email arrived. Being conscious that the club is at the cutting edge of 21st century technology I clicked the Apple icon to get the ticket into my wallet as I have done with my season card.. Nothing. Rien. Nada. I had to go to Leeds Road yesterday so went to the ticket office. Apparently the link doesn’t work and I am supposed to print the pdf attachment at home and bring it with me. Digital ticketing my arse! Not the club’s fault but that of Ticketmaster. Town will have very little leverage as they are so far down the list of important customers that Mbenza is higher placed in the minds of managers across Europe. I had the same issue with “add to wallet” today. However, If you click on the link, then press the 3 dots at the bottom and select “open in browser” then the ticket for the wallet magically appears. So I think its an issue clicking the link within the email app you’re using, the link should be clicked to open within an internet browser such as safari. You, sir, are a genius. Or you work for Ticketmaster.

The game is being shown on a lot of foreign channels (Eleven Sport, BEIN etc) so there will be plenty of streams available

You, sir, are a genius. Or you work for Ticketmaster. I’m neither, I just wasn’t going to give in! Thank you anyway. I like to pretend I am competent at this digital stuff and it was frustrating not to be able to do it the way I wanted. I am still printing a hard copy off just in case but that has more to do with my confidence in Town/Ticketmaster than you. 😀

They sold out pretty quickly, they should have been given the whole end, we might as well as have the extra cash. Turn out will probably be low from Town. Disagree. We’ve wanted a home ground that we control. Gone are the days where we just to every other away club with a slightly large away following in the pursuit of a few quid. Big mistake not giving Everton the whole of the south stand; especially as we are so cash-strapped at the moment and turning away £30,000 is a poor business decision

In this day and age, digital tickets are what should be the norm, but it proves our confidence in tech that we either choose, or are asked to print a hard copy.
Get your phone nicked, battery gets drained, you’re goosed really. Or the readers don’t work etc.
Paperless society my arse…

For how long did we our home ground to away clubs giving them a clear advantage? If we sold more tickets in the home areas to town fans it would be less of an issue. Maybe if town didn’t have such a poor attitude towards the cup competitions and we hadn’t seen 4 abysmal seasons in a row then more town fans may turn up. £30k? Town have wasted a 100 times that on average footballers wages. Town fans deserve that south stand, they’ve stuck by town through thick and thin over the last 4 years.

There are alot of people who watch Town who won't have online accounts or simply don't know how to navigate the website and can't be bothered to learn when they've been used to simply walking down and paying in. I've seen the map of available tickets and it makes for grim viewing, the ground looks like it's going to be empty.

They can just walk down to the stadium at 7pm, go to the ticket office, hand over £15 , pick up a ticket and walk to the turnstiles. It's not rocket science!

Looking at the seating plan, I cannot envisage more than 5000 turning up.

They can do aye but it's more faff isnt it ? Queue at the ticket office with four or five windows open, get your ticket and then walk to the turnstile and queue again. Or Rock up at 7:30, queue at turnstile, scan bank card/ hand over cash, in you go.

Deciding to extend Mbenzas contract has probably cost us 60k since July and the club decided they could afford to do that.

I'll tell the dozens of staff who were made redundant last year that £30,000 (or £20,000) isn't much, then
Some of those made redundant worked in the ticket office and now fans complain that they can't get through, tweets and emails unanswered but hey, as long as CSL are happy then who am I to complain!

I'm sure they'll get to the point where you can use a card or phone to pay at the turnstiles for pay on the day, but I think using cash there has gone for good. It must be a logistical and security nightmare taking cash at the turnstiles, especially at night when you can't see much. Let alone nowadays when there'll be 100's of covid related instructions and regulations.
