Depends how many own goals they have in them. Apparently they can’t defend.

Perfect game for Sheff Utd to get a bit of confidence back into their dressing room. I’ve seen nothing in the last two games to make me believe we will get something regardless on their recent form. I do hope that somehow Carlos manages to pull His head out of his arse but the quite frankly appalling tactics he has deployed recently and the square pegs in round holes philosophy he has adopted give me very little confidence!

I'm not saying that I think we'll win, but it's ludicrous how the team with the fewest goals, shots and shots on target in the opening 3 games of the season is 4/7 to win on Saturday. 5/1 available on an away win.

I stated the odds up thread and it speaks volumes really about Town that we are 5/1 when they are struggling so badly, Sky Bet have us at 19/4, just shy of the outright 5/1. To be honest though it's not even good value, despite Sheffield United's rancid start.

I won't be taking up those odds on Town, but the value on a home win is so much worse than the value on an away win.

0-0 on the cards? They will probably find their scoring boots. Toffolo back so play 4 at the back with Thomas and Koroma wide of Rhodes. I’d like to think that we will have a go but know that we will try and scrape a draw and end up losing 3-0. And on the bright side.....

First goal crucial - Both teams low on confidence but they’ll be even more nervous than us. If we have Toffolo back and we go at them and manage to get an early goal, then we could go on and get a positive result. The other way round and our nervousness will be back, combined with their tails being up and it could become a long afternoon.

We need someone practising a long throws ... ! Turtons aren't particularly long but they're longer than Holmes' and he doesn't look to put anywhere near the same effort into them.

For any Terriers in Germany, just seen the game is being shown live on DAZN at 16:00 CET. I'm in Berlin on Saturday, anybody know where there's a pub preferring English games over the Bundesliga (got to be an Irish pub somewhere)? Otherwise, I'll just watch it on the laptop.
Everton game on Tuesday also live on DAZN. Can't remember us being shown live twice in the space of a couple of days even in the PL!
More than ever hope we can put in a good display now UTT

All the pressure is on them which is the good news. Just keep a cleansheet and the crowd will get frustrated and we might nick one. But another reality is we'll be 1 down after 10 mins due to a defensive cock up.

Nice to see the positivity. Sheff U must be rubbing their hands with glee knowing they are playing such a poor side, one that has only taken 4 points from the first 3 games and therefore on track for a miserable 61 points this season!

Unfortunately it,s the way we got those four that is the problem If we get 61 points with similar performances I don't think people will still be saying that! P.S. I don't think we'll get anywhere near that point haul.

i know what you mean but at the end of the day we have played a top side in Fulham, a mid table side in Derby and a poor side in Preston. Also we have had key players out with Covid which as we are testing players every week will, I believe give us much more disruption than the teams who are only testing players if they show symtoms of Covid. A Huddersfield Town player who tests positive has to isolate for 10 days a player from a team who are not testing players can play, and pass it on, provided they don't have symtons, seems a bit unfair and dangerous to me.

They have had a poor start, they will be nervous, there fans will be expecting them to win this game. They will definately score 1 so town will have to score 2 maybe more to win. Depends how poor they really are. If Town go at them and get 1st goal could be an interesting game. Town actualy started well against fulham, need that again.

Blades apparently close to loaning Amad Diallo from Man United. Hopefully that doesnt happen until he's ineligible to play tomorrow otherwise we, and Ollie Turton in particular, will be in for a seriously rough afternoon.

To back this up softboy, there is absolutely no doubt we have missed both Pipa & Toff being in the team - they are crucial players for Corberan and the style he likes to play. But if they are injured/isolating/not available due to a possible transfer out, we are really up against it again. With these 2 back, we should be able to give it a go but without them - their deputies, especially down the right, don’t look up to it - it’ll be another tough afternoon. Still can’t see beyond a 3-0 defeat. We do still have daft mistakes in us in important areas of the field too that should be factored in.

Apparently Ward's performances are down to the coffee.
From Carlos:
Injuries and illness
"Matty Pearson had a scan and is fine. We don't know why he felt dizzy but we'll test him today and see how he is. It could be that his ear canal was blocked.
"Danny Ward was feeling strange and having heart palpitations but has also had a scan and is fine and we'll test him as well today. When he wasn't feeling well we took him off and he's been to the hospital but he's fine. It could be as simple as too much coffee!"

Could have just sneaked it at a pinch and I used to like going to Bramhall Lane more than Hillsborough, always seemed easier to get to coming from the South of Sheffield. However when the price came out it was a firm 'no' I'm afraid. Hope those that go have a great day out.

Nicholls
Toffolo Colwill Pearson Turton
O’Brien Hogg Sinani
Koroma Rhodes Thomas
That's the team I'd go with tomorrow.

We need Kindon to come on at 2 down, rough them up a bit and score 2 late goals.

Playing a team that hasn't scored as yet screams for a positive attitude and approach to the game.
Forget where they were a year ago and play them as they are now.
Like us they did not have premiership standard players and that's why they are here now. They didnt push it to the end, they went down easily. They clearly have confidence issues and we have to believe the game can be won.

Looks like a good team, apart from Turton, who's looked abject in the early games! - UTT. By the sounds of it Pipa won't be back with the squad until next week providing his injection works, so It's going to be Turton for the next few games atleased. Thought he looked quite good in pre-season but he's looked off it since the season started, can't completely write him off after 4 games though & tbf he's kept two clean sheets in 4. I'd definitely go with Sinani, our midfield has looked very industrial without any creativity so far, Sinani has been brought in to give us something in the final third so he needs to be playing. I'd go with Rhodes over Campbell because he's more likely to score goals. A typical example was a few minutes after Campbell came on on Tuesday, a great ball was whipped across the 6 yard box with Campbell, as usual, a yard off it. A natural goalscorer would have been onto that.

Nicholls Toffolo Colwill Pearson Turton O’Brien Hogg Sinani Koroma Rhodes Thomas That's the team I'd go with tomorrow. Swap Sinani for high and that will be the team. Wouldn’t mind if Sarr played instead of Colwill. Simply because they look awful at defending set pieces and with Thomas putting some good balls in we need players who are good in the air.

You are probably right regarding High, he'll probably play Campbell instead of Rhodes aswell but if he's wanting goals then Sinani & Rhodes should start. Agree r.e Sarr aswell, he's looked good in a three but with Toffolo (hopefully) coming back we should look to go back to a 433/4231. He'd be unlucky to miss out after his performance on Tuesday mind.
