Quite ironic that Hoyle banged the drum to stir up the town fans regarding trying to put pressure on Davy to sell him the stadium shares, claiming it was holding the club back, but here we are and it looks like a certain person is now doing just that! That is not right though. Davy had no interest in Town other than if we went under The Giants were knackered as the stadium costs would be far too great for them. I still think Dean always had the club at heart but maybe it is just tough love. We need to be a business that sorts itself out without a millionaire dipping their hand in their pocket every month. It may seem like it is all happening too quickly, and perhaps that is right, but once we are debt free, and if our model works, we will be in a strong position. Probably won’t be challenging for the greedy league but I’m fine with that as long as we can watch some decent football and our club is financially strong. I'm not sure this is true - I'm repeating a post that I did months ago, but it is in fairness to Ken Davy. I don't know the bloke but I met him at Town once - a relative had business dealings so we got one of those free lunches. Ken Davy talked at length about Town and about matches he remembered - over decades. His knowledge of past seasons and players was very impressive and he gave me the impression of someone who DID care about Huddersfield Town. Of course he was, and is, a lot more interested in the Giants but this picture of a man who has no interest in Town seems, in my experience, to be wrong. Additionally things I heard about the way Mr Hoyle dealt with him/others/publicity make me a bigger supporter of Ken Davy. As I say I have no connection with the man but he does seem to get an undeservedly bad press. We know why some of this happened...

This is what gets me on the other thread about DH and people saying he's entitled to take his money back. It's not his money he's taking - it's the club's! The parachute payments and the saleable players belonged to Huddersfield Town not Hoyle. If he wanted his money, he should have found someone to buy it who could afford to pay him his valuation. Bang on. The club earned that money, NOT Hoyle. Sorry I thought he owned 100% of the club and funded the club to achieve the club's performance 😚

Never a good thing when players do that. You can see them not wanting to get injured but still not a good trait. Certainly can’t say that about O’Brien. I know it's anecdotal, but Chris Beech even went on strike at Hartlepool to get his move to town and that worked out in the end. I think Beech is definitely on the target list of our recruitment team

Matty Longstaff going on loan to Aberdeen. Could that be them getting their replacement in before selling Ferguson?

Surely Longstaff is better than that?

Given that Watford have already had a bid rejected for Ferguson but have just yesterday offloaded will Hughes to palace would maybe seem more logical that Ferguson went to Watford.

Have we had any ITK confirmation that we are actually looking at this guy?

Have we had any ITK confirmation that we are actually looking at this guy? It appears to be all wishful thinking at the moment. Based on the figure £3M it would appear to be VERY wishful thinking. We live with some hope that we can improve our midfield and strike force and our defence has been a happy surprise (Fulham apart) so far. We have been told we need to sell before we can buy, and Bacuna's transfer would not bring in enough to pay for Ferguson. Lets hope that Mbenza just gets off of our wage bill.

Surely Longstaff is better than that? Definitely a odd one, suspect Aberdeen’s manager being a ex Newcastle player has played a part somewhere.

I think this is the main gripe for most fans. We're not entitled or with ideas above our station. We just wanted to sit comfortably in the top half for a change. No, we are all entitled. Ask Slapps 😉 I sense this will become another thread suggesting just that!
