Many tickets were purchased today (for Stoke and Blackpool) and only the fan number of the purchaser was asked for. As a contrast all numbers were required for Sheff U tickets. Does this mean the points system is finished?

Does this mean the points system is finished? Do you mean fan number as in amount of fans, i dont think points system is finished as they`ll have you`re address and other details etc, i couldnt be 100% certain though, that or town dont think we`ll sell out.

No, I mean fan numbers as in from the database of Town fans. Tickets were bought by one person. (11 for Stoke and 4 for Blackpool) He went to the ticket office with fan numbers for all the tickets we wanted to buy. The only fan number asked for was his, the purchaser. All the other tickets were not assigned to anyone.

Does this mean the points system is finished? Hopefully, it’s a joke of a system that should never have been introduced in the first place.

I called at the ticket office today to buy 7 tickets and the only client reference they needed was mine. I asked how they would then apply the purchases to the other purchases and she said they do not use that system anymore. She went away to check this for me and came back to say the old points system is not being used anymore and tickets purchased are very much on a game by game basis. If high demand then season ticket holders first but beyond that the points I have aquired previously are essentially dead and buried.

Cant see whats wrong with a priority system if tickets are in demand.

The Stoke and Blackpool tickets went straight on general sale, doesn't that mean anyone can buy them?

Seems a bit of an odd choice when they already have the system set up, might as well just continue with it, especially considering we're almost certain to be back in the Prem next season where the demand is likely to be higher.

Does this mean the points system is finished? I think you're referring to the client reference, i don't think there's such a thing as a 'fan number'. The client reference number has nothing to do with the loyalty points system.

I bought 6 tickets for Blackpool yesterday. I did it online. I assigned each ticket to the people in my network, which is an option to have people saved on your network online, so each person gets the points for the game. I could have just bought 6, assigned 1 to me and the other 5 unassigned. I still think we should stick with the points system as it may be needed in the future. If it’s already in place and working why remove it?

Think he went to Bournemouth twice and didn’t see either game? He also managed to miss all 4 Rhodes goals at Hillsboro from memory. Pretty special stuff.

My uncle goes to virtually all away matches and I buy his tickets online for him. Having just Logged in and checked my account, I’ve been awarded loyalty points since the season started for being in the B&W Foundation and being a season ticket holder. Doesn’t look like my uncle has been awarded points for away matches since Feb 2020 but it’s showing him as having 843 points. Be interesting to know what is going on then.

Yes it certainly needs clearing up.
