No need to panic folks. I’ve only seen us once this season so far, Reading at home, and we did ok in that game and I’ll be there on Tuesday v Blackburn so we’re bound to win 😁. In all seriousness, we do appear to have a bit of the Jekyll & Hydes about us, pretty decent one week and clueless the next and on the weeks we are clueless, CC seems incapable of changing things around.

Needs to fuck off more like! This the only comment on this game melc you and others are the ones who should you know what you are pathetic Been called worse positive, but it is all about opinions and I just don’t rate the guy. He has a long way to go to make me change my mind, but that’s the way it is.

Keeping things tight in the first half, particularly away from home, and picking things up in the second half is not a bad idea. This approach has got us results already this season. However, if this doesn't work and we go behind we need to change our approach far quicker than we do. We need as much time as possible to get back into games - we can't leave it so late. Carlos needs to make changes - tactics or personnel - much earlier when things go against us.
Another point: It is far too early to write him off, and I wouldn't dream of doing so yet, but Sinani's lack of impact on games is becoming a bit of a worry. He's meant to be one of our main creative players and he's disappearing too often.

And it could be much worse, we could have lost today at the mighty Crawley Town 😆.

well at least this www.bbc.com/sport/football/58606477 softens the blow a bit - question is are they falling apart ? - 6 games in and only 3 points - thats "going down form" at its best AND the only "Ward" on the pitch was the ref Thats the positives for me

The players we’ve recruited don’t suit this manager. That is by far our biggest problem. I don’t get how last season we identified a big centre forward with a physical presence as our main priority. We then had all summer to bring one in permanently but ended up with Rhodes and Mipo. I’m not judging those two but where is the continuity and joined up thinking? It’s like the scattergun approach of Lee Clark, signing individuals rather than identifying the attributes we need in the team. Very frustrating. Still, we are a work in progress. It’s not the results that annoy me, it’s the waste and muddled thinking we seem incapable of escaping.

Disappointing, but how many of us would not have taken W4 D1 L4 at this stage of the season? Fair point. It's a good start, better than most would have predicted. The worry is that recent performances have been very poor. Our good start could soon become a distant memory.

Firstly the team selection was absolutely pathetic. To play Thomas out of the position he's been so effective to accommodate Turton whilst dropping Koroma is absolutely horrendous. Secondly it is so painfully obvious that we have absolutely no presence at centre forward in this team and that is why we just cannot build any pressure what so ever. There is no one who can receive it to feet or in the air, hold it up and bring others into play. Ironically exactly how they scored their goal. May be we are playing a false 9😷

No shots on target for the second game this season
We set up with 5 defenders plus Hogg and LOB so no huge shock by that stat given personal/formation and questions there for CC as we look very dangerous on set pieces but toothless in open play

We didn't deserve to beat Preston and hardly got in Sheff Utds half for 70 minutes but thankfully they were still in a relegation hangover

Watching the way Brentford play, even against Liverpool, makes me despair at the boring negative set up Carlos prefers.
I don't mind so much losing but the manner of the capitulation makes we wonder why we even turn up. To spend and hour killing time then trying to win it in last half hour is shocking

On the flip side, we deserved a point at Stoke that we didn't get. I think most would agree that results have been better than performances, and poor performances will not sustain good results in the longer term. Our performance s simply have to improve markedly if we are to maintain our decent start resultswise.

He needs to go. Where was the reaction to the Forrest no show? His team selection leaves us toothless time n again and his use of subs is crap too. It doesn't help that we don't have a striker who is a goal scorer but they cost money so jo chance of that.

Does anyone know why we need 2 players to take corners? This strange tactic robs us of a body in the box.

His long throw which isnt a long throw It's laughably poor isn't it? Who told him his throw - which barely reaches the box - is a useful attacking weapon?

I didn’t watch or listen today but no shots on target and bringing Mipo on in the 83rd minute doesn’t sound like the issues we obviously had were addressed. Tippy Tappy when it isn’t working and we are chasing the game sounds like Carlos is very rigid, and that is worrying when other teams are sussing us out.
When we hit a poor run we have a tendency to play the ‘safe’ players, the experienced pros. Josh Austerfield can do some lovely link up play down the centre. That type of player would give us another dimension and a different option for trying to get balls to the front men. If we wait until the FA cup to try the other lads out we could already be struggling.

Those defending him, its just too bloody average, has been since he took over with bright spells of form thrown in, granted he hasn't had much to work with but I certainly don't think we're going any quick under Corberan.

Zero touches in his 15mins according to Sofascore….and they gave him a higher rating than Turton and Toffolo 🤣 Premierleagueitus I think they call that. The delusional disease of anyone who follows a regular Premier league club. I think they're not allowed to give Mipo a low score because its too early to judge him 🙄

I'm at a loss to understand what Sinani brings to the table because he's no better than what we have. For God's sake, we should have brought in someone far better on loan. And yes, what a waste of a player when two players are standing together at free kicks. And I couldn't believe it when I heard that Turton was starting and not Karoma. Absolutely shocking performance!

Surely bringing Sarr on up front with 7 minutes to go has to be an option? He would pose more of a goal threat than any of our "strikers" & he'd give CBs far more to worry about. Scoring as many goals as we have from set pieces so far is not sustainable over a season so we really do need to find a way of creating more from open play.

Absolutely shocking performance! Well in the position he plays it's either Sinani or Holmes. He is quicker stronger and more skilfull. When Holmes gets the ball in a similar position he is generally caught and knocked off the ball.

Whoever is in the team, zero shots on target is piss poor at any level.
