 Maybe send us a DM for the spreadsheet input piece, I don't know what you are doing, how you do it or what impact it's had on that front mate. Naturally if it's caused a technical issue for you we need to get underneath it. I don't understand the difference personally. The 3 white stripes aside. I don't think it actually looks massively different to what it did before. It did initially granted but stripes aside I think the difference is marginal now. Brightness issues I'm struggling to understand as whilst it looks like it's 'whiter' with the stripes I guess, I can do a side by side (Desktop) and it looks EXACTLY the same as the Google News 'white' that is used in the posts box. So I don't understand the eyes hurting etc. Plus, we do have some folk on here saying it's ok so I don't think this is just admin bias! Original train of thought was only to give it a lift / lick of paint. Nothing sinister. I personally can see the stripes as just being 'less blue' and once my eyes adjusted it makes no difference to me. And if this place needs anything, it is to be 'less blue' ... If anyone can elaborate without a 'it's fucking shit' it may be useful, otherwise.......  On mobile there's just way too much white, and bright white at that. It genuinely does give your eyes a working. Eg at the top (when I finally get the images working)  Impact, thanks for this - it's meaningful feedback! Much appreciated. And strange.. Doesn't look like that on my mobile! I often use desktop version on mobile so I can access admin function but will do some testing on different devices. Factoring in the unknown number of different devices in use could be difficult. |

I don't normally get drawn in, life's too short, but actually Rigodon, the opening stats you trot out are meaningless. Grim asked for opinions, said it wasn't set in stone, and in fact said over a week ago he would re-visit after the week-end with a view to reverting to as was.Since he asked for member's views, I may be mistaken but don't think I am, the majority who have commented on here (so let's accept this is the only vehicle for providing input to Grim) the overwhelming majority have expressed a resounding NO to the new style. Go back and look, it's all their on this thread. All members and guests I suppose have had the opportunity to speak out, but the majority have chosen not to.....but those that have I repeat don't like it, don't want it. That is democracy, you get a vote, if you choose not to use it, or vote in a complete buffoon to run the country (for example), then no use crying after the event. As I say, more important stuff to worry about, like bagging 3 points later this aft, but if he isn't going to take notice of the opinions as he said he would, why bother asking in the first place? Putting 3 stars, a picture of the stadium on the banner and a few stripes on this site was not a 'big thing' to me but has yet again turned into another episode of Mavis Riley in Eastender Special which in hindsight we really should have envisaged from the start. Our bad. Your piece in bold is patently false, otherwise G wouldn't have made further changes since his initial ones. So some feedback has been actioned others have not made any suggestions. I will be looking into the post impact made regarding the mobile experience as that, finally, makes some sense. I think "it's fucking shit" adequately does the job of saying how quite a few of us feel about the changes - it has gone from rather a smart looking website to a bit of a Year 7 art project, IMO. For the admins to dig their heels in against the vast majority of opinion on this thread suggests you have all taken it personally, for some bizarre reason, I think it's a bit strange to be honest but each to their own, you obviously see it as your site to do with as you want. |

the whole "we have lives" is such an odd response when admin have quite literally created the problem for themselves (as they have previously with unneeded/wanted changes and stubborness). it's a 'job' which makes its own work to a degree, the less the admin are mentioned the better. It was tested out, folk didnt like it, that should have been the end.. BDG has taken his bat home it seems..... frankly think it's an odd job to choose when you get as emotional as he does, but hey
i did laugh at ted inevitably making people out to be drama queens/telling them the changes are fine because they dont bother him/people should learn to use the site differently... its all very datm
maybe people just want to come on and read town news as was without any messing about?

As an admin team, we discussed refreshing the look and feel of the site and trying to make it say "Huddersfield Town" a bit more. The site's look and feel is limited/constrained by the formatting limitations ProBoards impose, and these were clearly very much formulated for desktop, not mobile devices. I, naively, only viewed the changes on a desktop as I have never used a mobile to access the site, using an app instead (which does not replicate the loo and feel in any way whatsoever) and so had not realised how different the site looked on mobile devices.
We are discussing and reviewing the constructive feedback/suggestions today and will be making some further changes in an attempt to assuage everyone's concerns. Thanks to those who took the time to engage in a meaningful way.

The site's look and feel is limited/constrained by the formatting limitations ProBoards impose, and these were clearly very much formulated for desktop, not mobile devices. I, naively, only viewed the changes on a desktop as I have never used a mobile to access the site, using an app instead (which does not replicate the loo and feel in any way whatsoever) and so had not realised how different the site looked on mobile devices. We are discussing and reviewing the constructive feedback/suggestions today and will be making some further changes in an attempt to assuage everyone's concerns. Thanks to those who took the time to engage in a meaningful way. Good look with that,you can't even spell sausage |

For the record, I haven't taken my bat and ball home, I've just had bigger priorities outside of DATM. Love the new backdrop. I've only just seen this thread (sharpest tool in the box I'm not) or would have posted earlier. Much brighter and the colours remind me of something....... it'll come to me |

That looks much better...
...there's something a bit off about the dark (black?) lettering of 'DOWN AT THE MAC, THE HUDDERSFIELD TOWN FAN SITE" though which doesnt look quite right.
What if tried a dark blue (similar to the background behind the "Home Help Search ..." row), or even darker like the bit behind "Create Thread" ??
Actually, the dark blue from behind 'reply' or 'create thread' etc might be good for the 'DOWN AT THE MAC', and then the less dark from behind 'Home Help Search...' used for 'The Huddersfield Town Fansite"?
Might end up looking rubbish, but imagining it in my head it would make for a more cohesive design tie-in between the header and the body.

Not quite sure how you think it's bizarre anyone should pander to anyone who can only muster 'it's fucking shit' (pointless feedback) but whatever. Proportionately I think this is a minor change and the majority have posters have not commented on the thread whilst we make them. You may well disagree and I'm ok with that too.
