I read your long ramble. These people get paid jack shit to put a considerable amount of time for which the only outcome for them is personal abuse / threats of violence/doxxing etc. I'd have deleted it too tbh they must be fucking sick and tired of it all . Log in to mel's board . I guarantee within 2 minutes you'll be looking into the mirror with beads of sweat dripping off your brow repeating the words "be careful what you wish for "

I've usually supported the admins, but this latest move does feel a bit like they've got bored and decided to troll the forum. I'm sure there are other people who'd be willing to admin the site without banning discussion of any subjects that are important.
Politics = what they arbitrarily decide is politics. Rulebook out the window. Still not clear on if we need to pretend there's no racism/homophobia/bigotry in football under the new rules.

No message to explain why…. No yellow card… Nothing on the action log?
Where is the rule that says this is a sanction they can apply?

I've never heard of a one day ban without it being posted. But the admin has got itchy finger right now so maybe . Would be coincidental but it does throw you out amd say you're banned from time to time |

For all that I can understand (and sympathise with) Chips Longhorn 's point about it being too much hassle for little or no reward (I have no desire to become an admin fwiw), I think a lot of people would respect the situation a lot more if they just came out & said it, and opened up to other members volunteering to become admin (whether in addition to the current team or instead of them). I'm (genuinely) grateful for their efforts up to now, but this is (unless I've missed something fundamental) unnecessarily diminishing the forum. |
