To be fair. I don’t think 99% of DATM’ers will mourn the loss of the politics board.
Only 29 bothered to vote to reinstate.
I will miss it but hey ho it is a footy forum after all and it did encourage bitterness between some fellow Town fans who would otherwise probably enjoy a pint or two together. Apparently there a lots of other places to argue the toss about stuff on social media - it’s not for me though.
Tbh I tried not to get dragged into stuff but couldn’t help it on the old C thread where I just couldn’t let it lie Vic. 😂
This will blow over quickly and DATM will live on.
Not sure why me tongue in cheek poem got the poetry thread binned tho! 😀

The poll is pretty hidden away here on the Admins Issues board. I'd have posted it somewhere with more traffic, but I doubt it'd have survived based on recent administrator-habits. Similarly, it's the only board/place online where I've ever discussed politics (apart from in one to one conversations with friends). I still think it's a shame - especially if it's down to the behaviour of one or two - including one who should never have been unbanned. If the admins do want to move on - it'd be great if they posted some rules they're going to apply, and made their admin decisions public, rather than the unprincipled secrecy they've been displaying lately in banning people and moving/deleting posts. |

I would just reiterate that the latest Pie offering is "worse" than 99% of what was on the politics thread. While I appreciate everything the admins have done previously this is a bit like the lobotomy given to Jack Nicholson in Cuckoos Nest.

Spotty becomes ScottyPolitical correctness is ruining my childhood! Lol nothing surprises me today, its not going to stop people using the terms mind. |

Genuine question... What's with the formatting of your posts? I suppose its just my style , everyone's is different to some extent Impact. I must admit I don't give it much thought , I just tend to write what I think. Its like you're posting on a typewriter loaded with A5 when everyone else is using A4 ! |

This is probably the best piece of recruitment for the other page that thy could have wished for.
Despite a poor first impression of the place I've joined up. Hopefully a few more will do & it can become what this place used to be, and could have still been.

Still no reason to have the transfer thread separate to the main board - transfer talk is way down since that was introduced.
The removal of the politics board is also baffling, but, there doesn’t seem to be any scope in changing things once the decisions are taken.

Ok, where is it hiding now? For some reason I cannot see the link to the section where any slightly political thread has been moved to. (I can find it by going through the "threads I have participated in" but having looked all over each section I cannot see any sign of it?).

Here's a strange thing. I can't see any link to the politics board anywhere but when I go into my notifications & click on any of the threads mentioned, it takes me there. I can then get to the board through the link at the top but can't go anywhere else from there.
Wonder if a bit of config is needed?

Click on HTAFC, then General then you should be able to see the sub board Politics and Current Affairs |

DATM is mainly meant to be a football forum, so surely TOTT needs to sit at the top of the boards in the General area, followed by the Transfer board. The politics sub-forum needs to be under the Off-topic sub-forum, not at the top as it currently appears.
