56 to lose and only 14 to win. From that you would expect to find City odds-on to win and Town 3-1 or 4-1 perhaps. But the majority of bookies have City at 8-5 and Town at 7-4. We're as likely to win as they are. And we fucking well owe them for last season, but at least after the battering we gave them they didn't win at home again for the better part of a year. We could do without giving them two goals start, though. Until recently it was a ground where we generally did well.

I can see another draw, hopefully this time we can get a draw by coming from behind to make it feel a bit better.

What was it he said last year? “Tis the season to be jolly careful” 😂 Ie don’t film or take a photo of the Xmas piss ups! Oops! The dept of transport party took place when they should have been working their arses off to get the backlog sorted out!!!! Adding insult to injury.. The number 10 party seems to have been folk who do little, just doing less???

On paper ( by the League table) we should win this, but unfortunately the championship ain’t played on paper and also despite Bristol City being eight places behind it’s only three points and a bloody four goal defeat (unlikely I’d certainly hope) and they’d leapfrog Town on goal difference (goals scored)...
But no, for this one I think again a draw toying with 0-0 but have decided to predict 2-2 win of course Town taking the lead either 0-1 or 1-2 and as always losing it if not the match..
Bristol City 2 v Draw-dersfield 2 !

I would settle for a draw in this game, poor recent record and no win since 2013.

Anybody know how many Town fans are expected to turn up in Bristol today? And on the subject of away crowds, what happened to the official site giving a mention to the number of Town fans that travelled? Might be me missing something, but I can't find any information about how many Town fans were in Cardiff, for example. Yes, it may be a bit of a nerdish thing to look out for, but - me aside - I know a few who show at least a casual interest in the away statistics.
In the (Covid-interrupted) 2019/20 season we were taking on average around 1700 away (https://fanbanter.co.uk/average-away-attendance-for-every-championship-club-in-the-2019-20-season/), anybody got any figures for this season so far?

No, I always take an interest in away followings too. Town have always had decent away support even in dire times. Just as an aside, on the day of the game the last comment before mine was an hour ago, just shows how interest has waned.

Ah well, it'll soon pick up again as the day goes on :-) I think I might have a go at estimating the number of Town fans today if there's a decent shot of the away end. Normally about +/- 100 out over a crowd of 1500 or so. So if there's only 500 there today, I'd expect to be accurate to within 30 or 40 or so :-)

Not a game off in Scotland??? Highest rates per head?? Witchcraft afoot...? Or maybe the vaccination uptake rates are higher in the Scottish fitba leagues than in England? Failing that, you could be right, might very well be some mysterious, virus-killing alternative medicine they're putting in their xmas drams? Don't quote me on that, mind :-)

Watching boro and Bournemouth trying to out pass each other to go nowhere. Sporadic quick balls, runs with the ball produce the only attempts and a penalty?? The rest was dull and very, very badly refereed..

Come on Town, let's have some Christmas cheers with an ultra dull no chances 1st half and nick it in the second 45.
Rowe back, that's good news.
