Well, as it stands, this is one of nine fixtures going ahead in the Championship this weekend (3 games at Millwall, Reading and QPR postponed so far).
As you'd expect in this division, it's a game anyone can win, despite Bristol City having the better form atm. In the last few weeks, they have taken 4 points off promotion-chasing Stoke and Blackburn at Ashton Gate and have only lost twice since the beginning of November in the league. So very much fancied, as Town have gone ages now without an away win.
Had to think long and hard about Town facing Nigel Pearson teams. We lost against his Leicester side a decade or so ago 6-1, but we beat them in the FA cup in 2013 very surprisingly 2-1 away.
Tempted to go for a win, myself - but will wait til it becomes clear who exactly is playing.

Fingers crossed we won't have had our second outbreak of the season, although it is probably the only thing that could get Carlos to drop players.

We hardly ever win at Bristol. Our away form is shocking. 1-0 defeat for me i'm afraid.

Undone by a manager called Robins at the weekend - Will Town be undone by a team called Robins this weekend.... as sure as night follows day, more than Likely !

Even the most optimistic Town fan must be struggling to predict a win at the minute. Bristol will go in front and as we know, that spells curtains for Town.

Bristol win. They're poor at home but we're terrible on the road. 3-1. Rhodes to come off the bench to get a late conciliation.

Ashton gate is never a happy hunting ground for us. CCs negative approach if repeated will hand it to them.

Read in an online article that Bristol City (all staff, including players) were fully vaccinated to 95% as long ago as October, which led Nigel Pearson to say it's more likely that their games will go ahead. Thought this was an interesting statistic bearing in mind the fact that across the leagues the number of not fully vaccinated lies at 25% (not sure if that includes all staff).
Anybody know what our number of fully vaccinated is? If the percentage is as high as Bristol's, I'd go out on a limb and say there's a good probability our game will go ahead.

It'll be interesting to see whether clubs with high vaccination rates will see their games going ahead (realising that for a game to take place "it takes two to tango" :-)

Hi all, Bristol City fan here in peace! So, what are the chances of this match going ahead? Any signs of Covid in the Terriers squad? I'm interested because i've paid for hospitality (prawn sandwiches!) for me and the missus. Will it stop any fans from travelling? Don't be fooled by our recent upturn in home form, we're far from impressive. I'll be happy with scraping a lucky 1-0 win. Merry Christmas and have a cider on me

The game is definitely going ahead, no problems. I can't see many travelling the week before Christmas, with the current situation and a lot disgruntled with the manager/team. I think we can hang on for a 0-0.

I have one spare away ticket for this game available if anybody is after one or changes their mind last minute. I’ll be in Bristol centre from about 12:30. Not asking for any money but donations always welcome!

I heard we have 5 that aren’t vaccinated, which is really low compared to other EFL teams. They cannot mix with the others apparently ie. Eat inside etc. or travel with the rest

Hard to see past a win for the Robins, however after last nights election result sometimes things defy convention.
Sneaked a bit of politics in there, let's see how long this post lasts before being cleansed.

At that sort of ratio, I think there's a good chance of us complying with the EFL minimum 14-player ruling. So if they can't travel with the rest, does that mean they don't train with them, either? Going by what happened with Kimmich at Bayern Munich, I think the unvaccinated can train with players outdoors providing they don't have to go into isolation due to contact with any persons suspected of having Covid. Jeez, sounds like something out of a Sci-Fi movie!
