A little off topic but who would you like us to sign in the summer, if we go up or we don't.
This is purely for fun BTW nothing in these at all.
If we go up there is no question we would need to strengthen. I would make enquiries for these options if we did go up and the money was right

I’d look at Cristian Pavon, RW/LW from Bocca. Has been linked to teams in the top 6 of the Prem for years but a move never materialised. No idea why the move hasn’t happened, but it would be worth an investigation into why. Argentine international available on a free transfer with really good goal contribution stats for a winger.

Whatever league we're in, I just hope Carlos is given the opportunity to show us what he can do with a squad of proven talent...Will DH back that if we stay in the Championship ? otherwise I think we'd be at risk of CC moving on

Whatever division we're in we need to stick with the model from last summer- cheap signings based on squad building rather than blowing money on individual positions. It worked so well for dressing room harmony, long term stability, and on the pitch.
A left footed centre back is essential with Colwill going back to Chelsea, and Sarr being out of contract. I originally thought it'd be best for Sarr to move on but his form lately has been excellent and it might be a good thing for continuity to keep him in the dressing room as he's clearly popular. But yeah, a starting left footer is number 1 on the list whatever division we're in.
I can't think of any that'd be remotely as good that would sign for us though. Maybe Tim Ream on a free for a 1 year deal? I can't imagine Fulham will want to play him again in the prem at 34.

Need to go to League One and get more of the Toffolo types. Solid quality who can consistently play 40 games. You knew from game one he’s easily making the step up to Championship.
Hopefully we’ve got our eye on similar contract situations.

Assuming we were able to agree a suitable contract I think Smithies would be an ideal back up keeper if we end up in the Prem next year. Otherwise highly improbable.

Forget anything we think we know and leave it to the professionals.
I bet this time last year not one person on here was suggesting signing Lees, Turton, Nicholls, Pearson and Russell to drive us to a promotion challenge.

I wouldn't go near Tom Lawrence. Not only due to his part in the infamous car crash but he has a bit of hot headedness about him and gives across the impression he thinks he's better than he is. Not a team player from where I'm sat. Let him go chase the big payday elsewhere.

Fun time to think about this as there are 2 different possibilities so many names to throw out there. If we stay in the Championship I see our needs as a left-sided CB, a #6 to spell Hogg, a ball-winning #8 to replace to LOB, a #10/wide midfielder in Sinani's role with a wide range of passes available to them, a left-winger, and a striker to add competition. If we were to be promoted i'd in a right-back, a different option to play in place of Lees when we play 3 CB's, and although we would likely retain LOB I would still want someone else there as well. I'll throw some names out for the fun of it (not all that educated *cough* I just saw a youtube video of Bobsin one time):
