Cagey game settled by some luck for them but from probably the best pass of the game. You cannot depend on refs, we know this, real or virtual. Similar to last time but I and not too downhearted. Let’s us see which of our young lads loaned out this season can do next year, they wouldn’t have got a sniff if we had gone up.
Totally unexpected season, so much better than we thought it would be. We can now look forward to the next.

Forget the penalty incidents we’d t really at a glove on them. Do you mean lay a glove on them? Neither did Forest on Town. agree cancelled each other out

Disappointed in the quality in the final third but completely nullified forest....did Johnson play?! Slight niggle of it being a missed chance
A game of fine.margins and a bit of luck for them and poor decisions from officials and poor quality final balls. Think I woukd liked Russell in from.the start but I'm not the manager who got a team of bits and bobs to third.
Proud of each and every one for an amazing season. Special mention for Colwill....you will have an amazing career and have been fabulous. Head up....no blame.

I was fortunate enough to be in a corporate box today, unfortunately it also had 8 Forest supporters in there. It was all good mannered though. They were understandably overjoyed. On reflection they might realise they got away with one today.
It’ll be interesting to see how they fare next yr. Not sure they’ll get the rub of the green for VAR when they play the bigger clubs.
Not the best game, but we move on, hopefully we can be competitive next season, though it’ll depend if O Brien and a couple of others stay.

Both were penalties in my opinion but neither was given by the on-field ref and so would not have been awarded in the other playoff finals either - or in any of our other games this season. VAR is suffocating the game alright but any anger today should be directed at Moss. Shame as I actually thought he had reffed it well up to that point.
What's that for us now....five finals in a row without scoring a goal? An astonishing record.
Think Forest will finish ahead of Fulham and Bournemouth next season. And hopefully L**ds

Not the 2 blatant penalty decisions missed by VAR cost the club millions, you’re right what the fuck am I on about… Legal action? Really? I know you're pissed off (me too) but I can only assume you've had too much to drink or are having a laugh. Ok, we should just accept poor standards and allow it to happen again. Including using the technology should stop it happening. I didn’t even want to go up

What about when the ball went to cooper for our throw in and he rolled it away from Toffolo. Pathetic c***.
VAR and the penalties has already been done to death, but what about all the rotational fouling on O’Brien in the first half. Must’ve been hacked down 5 times when he’s gone past his man and was running on the defence and Moss let them get away with just a free kick every time. After a few times he should’ve called the captain over and told them it’s a yellow card every time. Piss weak.

Bottom of the league with very few points my prediction and I’m not trying to be mean. Thought they had the luck and a fat referee to push them over line today.

Someone in that suburb might have a brick through their window.

Forest have done what we did in 2017, stumbled over the line. Gutted to lose today, but we’ll all get over it pretty quickly. Hopefully another decent season next time. Forest really weren’t that cranky today, but finals are tight, they managed us out of the game. I don’t think Samba will be given the same latitude as he has been these last few games, in the PL next time. Remember these times folks, because it does make the successful times that much better…

I can handle the defeat as we didn’t create enough. It’s has to take after watching those though. Watching it live I felt like Toffolos might not be a pen but there is clear contact. O’Briens looked nailed on and when you see the replay is is a definite penalty. was the ref doing not looking at that on VAR.

Except for the fact as much as possible, it was engineered to get them to the premier league. Indefensible decisions.

Yep they had the luck, but they'll also have momentum and will be difficult to beat at the City Ground. I think they might trouser enough points in the first few weeks to carry them through the season much like we did with a pretty poor squad (Mooy aside) in 2017

The O'Brien one the ref couldn't see for players in front of him so at the first available opportunity he should be telling VAR that and asking for their advice. Until we can start hearing what is being said between officials I will refuse to believe that there isn't corruption at play

I said before the game, all I really wanted was a fair game and it not to be decided by a dodgy VAR decision. Such a shame that didn’t happen, but as I’ve said, it’ll keep us lot interested for a while and will buy Sky some column inches etc.
VAR is needed, but it shouldn’t be there for the spectacle, it has to be 99% B&W.
Stay safe on the way home folks…

Nothing to do with accepting poor standards, but there's literally more chance of Jon Moss actually physically shitting on our players than legal action leading anywhere. Everyone knows that. We'd be the laughing stock of the country
