Anyone fancy a stab at our pen takers? We've had a few people take them for us this year Dosnt matter, if it goes to pens we're as good as promoted.

Work finished now I'm getting excited 🔵⚪
Come on then ladies and gents let's have your final line ups of the season in, not what Carlos will pick what you would go with.
Mine is
Nicholls
Pipa Lees Colwill Toffolo
Russel Obrien Hogg
Sinani Ward Thomas
Sinani and Thomas have to start for me purely on the basis of their set piece from both sides. Rhodes just misses out aswell purely for wardys work rate and link up play.
UTT

I'd start Rhodes, bring Ward on to hopefully run at them as they tire and we have a lead to defend.

Keep chopping and changing who I'd start out of Rhodes and Ward, if the games going to be tight with chances few and far between you'd want Rhodes on the end of it but Wards ability to run the channels, stretch defenders and do the dog work gives Rhodes an opportunity to come on against tiring legs, it's a tricky one.

UTT If he's fully fit, I'd start with Turton instead of Pipa as the only change to that line-up (assuming Ward is fully fit). With Turton playing Hogg can play further forward and we can dominate the midfield like Sheffield United did against Forest. If Pipa plays, Lees will have to spend lots of time covering his side defensively, Hogg will drop deeper and we'll be under the cosh as we'll lose the midfield battle.

I like pipa but wouldnt start him he has a habit of taking on one player too many and losing the ball and putting our defence under pressure.Turton to start for me.

Nicholls
Turton Lees Colwill Toffolo
Hoggy
Russell O'Brien
Sorba Ward Sinani
Torn between Hogg in midfield or CB. Think we lose a bit of bite without him in midfield

I am pleased VAR is available for the Final . Let’s see if Moss has the balls to award a penalty when the ball is crossed for the first corner.
Worrall cannot resist a good shirt grab !

All I know is that win or lose, we're going to be competitive, Carlos will put out a team whose performance makes us proud. Like in that second leg against Luton? Carlos will put out a team that is extremely well drilled on what they have to do.. when we have the ball and when Forest have it. They'll know all about their threats and their weaknesses and they'll be prepared to change formation seamlessly during the game, maybe more than once. But end of the day its about the players being able to carry that through. Will they let the nerves get to them, because certainly the likes of Russell and Colwill did in that 2nd leg against luton. If they play the opposition and not the occasion then we have a great chance IMO

Forest play two up top. CC will go 3 at the back. Sounds like Pearson is not far away. Big risk to start him without any minutes in the legs.
Ward and Thomas are ready. Let the chess match begin....

I rarely get ahead of myself with Town, but when I look at the poll on here versus the match day thread on the Forest board, it's chalk & cheese. It means nothing in reality, but I'll let you guess how many people have voted for a Town win on their site, versus the number that have voted for a Forest win on here...

I’m guessing we’re a bit more realistic around these parts. To be fair, they are like we were in 2017, they feel it’s their destiny and it might be, small margins in a game like this.

Looking forward to game, which we go into with great confidence. Despite all the rubbish on their website, both teams start equal, Florists love the near post ball, from corners, we conceded a soft goal in the cup game, scored by Yates. Whether Wardy or Jordan plays on Sunday, let's not fall for it again. It's a favourite Florist ploy. Let's go beat them - UTT.

If we play at our best, we beat them all day long!
Regardless of if they are, I think if every player turns up for this then we're going up. I fear Spence for Forest and I am shitting a brick because if we bottle it, like we did vs Luton were in trouble.
Hopefully Carlos and Hoggy have it in them to rally the troops! UTT!

Now its been quite a while since the Luton game we can look on it with cool heads, it was far from a great performance but fortunately a great performance wasnt needed, just a workmanlike one. All the players know and CC certainly will that we have to up our game, if we dont play well our strong point is we are incredibly hard to beat, but that might not be enough....then again it might, it could even go to pens.

Were you not proud of the way we were competitive against Luton even though we were far below our best? In my time of watching Town, many of our teams in the past would have folded under that pressure, the pressure of the occasion, and of the strength of the opposition. We kept in the game, and that's something I believe gives us a great chance on Sunday, even if one or two show nerves. UTT
