I think this is as an absolute disgrace that we have released him. In fact, I would be looking for us to have to pay decent money just to get somebody like him on our books!. Fully committed (and some), never goes hiding, capable of that last ditch tackle. A great Player at this level and somebody I enjoyed seeing play for Town. He had earned the right for a new contract and at a time when praise has been heaped on those making transfer decisions. I am not happy about this one at all, the Club have got this one wrong. Maybe he wanted to go ?

Thank you Nabby for all that You’ve done. Yes there were times when You were a bit shaky but In the main, You’ve done what has been asked of You. You have pulled off some wonder tackles and blocks for us saving us many many times from what would have been an inevitable goal. And let’s not forget the some important goals that You’ve scored for us. Brilliant. Good luck for the future wherever that may be. I’m sure You will always get a warm welcome when/if You visit us with You’re new team.

I agree with these comments.Naby should be our first choice centre back.big mistake letting him go. God help us if we are having to rely on REG and Crichlow to replace him.Thank you,Naby, and good luck.

Can only think that it’s Naby that has asked to leave. We never know the full story.
I liked him and despite his odd mistakes he had a great personality on the pitch.
Sorry to see him go.

One of my favourite players over the last couple of years. Sad to see Naby leave but will look forward to welcoming him back to Huddersfield at some time in the future. Best of luck Naby!

Calm down, trust the staff who got us this far. Do you think he should have been offered a new contract?.

Do you think he should have been offered a new contract?. How do you know he wasn't? The clue I would say is in the fact he was released and not turned down a new contract offer which is how that scenario is reported. You may answer my question, eventually……….

I genuinely can't grasp folk who fail to spell our players names correctly. Oh what a shame.

Good player, great character and had a superb song.
3 reasons I’d have tried to convince him to stay.

You may answer my question, eventually………. Well no that's not how it works. Just because it states he has been 'released' doesn't mean he wasn't offered another contract at some juncture, it may have been on reduced terms. I don't see how it's so baffling that he's no longer here. Yes he's a good player and has served us well, but given we have two better options in Pearson and Lees, and the return of two highly promising young players in REG and RCN, and when it's clear we are sticking to a very stringet wage structure, then it makes total sense as to why he has left.

I don't think Pearson and Lees are better options. Both are just as likely to drop a bollock and neither of them are a patch on Naby with the ball at their feet. REG is right sided and Crichlow struggled to get into Swindon's team towards the end of his loan and couldn't get a game at Plymouth afterwards.

I'll take your word for it. I can't be arsed listening to those 2 tossers. I'd be surprised cos he was coming from a mid table league 1 team.

Pearson and lees's excellence kept sarr out of the team for long spells last season - correct decision to let him go for me, but will always remember him fondly.

Let’s hope we don’t have many injuries in this area next season. Unless we sign better cover than Sarr on a free. I say cover, Sarr would be one of the first names on my team sheet.

Good player, great character and had a superb song. 3 reasons I’d have tried to convince him to stay. As a minimum we need to sign someone from Charlton Athletic. Wigan or Oldham may be acceptable.

Like Sarr he’s a decent championship centre Half. However I thought his limitations were clear and obvious against Forest. Releasing him hopefully means that we are looking to improve. Exactly same goes for Sinani as well actually.

Exactly same goes for Sinani as well actually. Who we're replacing him with is the worst kept secret since "we might be bringing Jordan Rhodes back". My understanding is that Will Boyle is a slight downgrade but much cheaper, freeing up cash to strengthen higher up the pitch.
