Am the only one who thinks we might have got 3 points v W B A if we still had Sarr ,Toff and Pipa in defence. How on earth did the club let go better defenders than what we have at present and replace them with some who do not have the ability to do the job That to me spells RELEGATION and Hoyle must not be able to see it This will be controversial but Kesler-Heyden is better than Pipa. Then again the problem isn't down the right hand side.

I don't think that was the type of game you want Sarr anywhere near the box. He's great when teams are firing balls into the box but against WBA, who passed and passed and passed, he'd have been nailed on for a pen.
Pipa dropped off more than Koroma and Russell put together and was an absolute brain dead liability last season.

Turton missed a tackle, allowing their player to set up Jed Wallace up, he missed a header, against John Swift, with Yuta missing the bobbling ball, slotted by Wallace. Not surprising Turton lost the challenge against Swift, as he's much taller than Turton. We are currently too 'soft centred,' we lack physicality all over the pitch, even more so without Hoggy - UTT.

I liked the lad but more for his sudden attacking bursts than defensive qualities. Sometimes he just effortlessly glided past players, unfortunately players just glided past him.

Reading gave Nabby a 4 year contract. I don’t think even his most ardent supporters on here would have advocated that.
Maybe we did try and extend his time with us but he wasn’t happy with a one year extension or whatever we might have offered and wanted more. If so he’s been proven right that better was out there.
I’ve no idea how it played out but it does make me smile (well more of a weary grimace really) that the majority assumption on here is Town were trying to do it on the cheap or that Sarr would have stayed if he was offered an extension.

Closet Reading supporter by any chance? Although you are correct that a 4 year deal was probably well out of the question. Then again, we do not know the finer detail of salary. 4 years on a lot less is probably the same as 1 year on a lot more.

Lived near Reading for 18 years since moving South for work but a Town season ticket holder and definitely no conflict of interest. The train to and from Wembley in 2017 was definitely interesting though!

And he's a free agent. He was on the bench loads last season because the management team couldn't trust him not to fuck up The season before he was a mainstay in a defence which conceded the most goals in the division
