Seems a shrewd signing, fits with recent business

Good to see them cracking on with business and not using the play offs as an excuse.

That's clearly Steve Yates pretending to be in his 20s, what's he done with the real Will Boyle?!

Thought it was quiet on the main board then remembered this crap seperate board existed At the time I type there are 135 out of 235 viewing the rumours board, versus 71 on the main board. Seems like most people can find it, and do regularly.

Seen him play a few times. Watched Cheltenham a few times residing there for work. Solid against a not so quick striker. Any striker with pace has tore him a new one. Does get forward but naby sarr is a much better player.
Seems odd to me that we’ve brought him in. Hopefully I’m wrong and he’s excellent but On the ball he is nervy. And god is he slow. Makes sarr look like bolt.
Abysmal signing to me. But I wasn’t happy with lees. Humble pie can be bitter sweet

Does sound like a left sided Pearson and apparently very good in the air, being solid and very good at set pieces obviously worked well for us so makes sense to sign players who fit that.

Personally for me I think he is a downgrade on Sarr, but I completely get why the club have gone for him.
26 years old Eager to test himself Hungry English Left footed Currently playing in a back 3
Good in the air and can attack set pieces Hes a reasonably solid cb but his mobility and speed really frightens me in the championship. Anyone with half a yard of pace is going to skin him alive.
Happy to be proved wrong tho
Welcome back boyly

So far out hot transfer targets include a free transfer from Cheltenham, a centre back from Halifax Town and a 6ft 9 striker from Solihull Moors. Is this a race to the bottom for Town? I hope we have some quality lined up.

it is not that long ago I can remember wanting hight more physicality and pace in the team. We seem to have some hight and physicality now speed is still needed, especially since we expect LOB to be off.

These targets are quite frankly abysmal, we should be an attractive proposition to players after the season we've had. If O'Brien is sold hope some of it goes in to squad strengthening or at least picking up some decent freebies.

Yeah like 12 months ago when you told us our shit transfers guaranteed league one status by now Yeah cos we're going to storm our way to the PL with this guy and the other 2, should they turn up. I sincerely hope when or if O'Brien is sold we use some of the brass to get some proper players in. Let's hope the lad from Manchester City comes as well. Even the most optimistic and chipper Town fan must be a little mystified by this one. You'd hope REG is capable of filling one of the centre back spots vacated by Colwill and Sarr.

REG is right footed and plays the opposite side to Colwill and Sarr so was never going to be their replacement. He will be understudy/rotation option for Pearson on the right

It’s only been 8 days since playoff final. We have signed one who looks to be backup left side centre half, and the other two mentioned are b team signings. Most players will still be on their holidays. Bromby has stated be looking to add quality in attacking areas but things take time. Not back for pre season for another 3 weeks I don’t think.

It's all about brass with Art . He will have done handstands when we signed mbenza . He still thinks that "free agents " are "free transfers" . He thinks sorba move worked to a point . Basically he's clueless

No I agree, but to be honest, there is no need to be making this signing for me at considering we have REG and Crichelow.

Basically he's clueless Grow up lad. Of course players want paying, they will probably get higher signing on fees due to no transfer fee. Thomas is the most over rated player in The Championship, you know it as well as I do. Great dead ball delivery but no composure or end product in games. Let's hope he can improve that side then sell him on for some serious wonga.

He’s probably in front of chrichlow in terms of experience and what he can bring to the team.be surprised if chrichlow isn’t loaned out again considering his league 2 loan went well but didn’t feature much in league 1. It’s probably not really worth comparing REG and Boyle as one plays right side the other left and Carlos likes where possibly to play his centre halves on their strongest side. It’s basically a replacement for naby, believe he was on fairly good money for someone who isn’t likely to feature a great amount and he probably wanted first team football. Be surprised if we didn’t look to the loan market again for another left sided centre half, unless there is a champ quality starter going for a small fee or are a free agent.
