Maybe given Turton’s improvement and Spencer’s emergence this wouldn’t necessarily be a bad move, assuming we a) get a fee and b) can reinvest it in the first team.

I hope not. He was brilliant in the first season, lacked a spark this one gone but he had just come back from a long injury.

Hope we can get a fee for him. He was the only member of the squad who was playing for himself before the team last season.
Pipa was decent offensively for the first few months after signing, since then he’s been very disappointing. Positionally poor.

If we get an alright fee he can go for me. 3-4 million in this market is probably fair enough. Was brilliant at first but has always had glaring weaknesses that he displays at least once a game. We can reinvest the fee elsewhere, I think we would be fine with Turton as the proper right back and Rowe as the right wingback, REG can play there too at a push, then there's young Spencer as well. It would be a shame not to see Pipa hit his peak with us but part of me thinks he already has

Good player who didn't have a good pre-season. Can see him coming good again for the next.
However I can see Brodie Spencer becoming more involved this season!

Pipa has been managing an injury since last season which didn't allow him to train fully or play two games a week until the last month or so of the season.
If we can get a full pre season under him I'm sure we'll see a different animal next season.
I wouldn't sell him unless it's silly money.

If we can get a decent fee for him I'd sell him. His form since returning from injury has been similar to Koroma's, which is mediocre at best.
We have Turton, Rowe & Spencer for that role, as well as Thomas who played wing back earlier in the season.

We moan about creativity, yet lots wanting Pipa gone.
Admittedly, this season wasnt as good as last for him, but he had 2 long term injuries.
The guy is a talent and a full pre season would show that. You dont represent Spain U21s if you are 'poor'
We would not have or get any better.

Interesting one is pipa, very good when he first came but due to injury dropped off last season think it would all depend on the money offered as I think he’s out of contact next season. That and you’ve got turton, rowe and now spencer behind him the club may look to cash in.

I like him as a player as he's very direct and positive on the ball which scares opponents, but we have more creative players. Pipa's MO is cut inside, overrun it, try again, blaze a shot high and wide, rinse and repeat. If he crossed or played it through more often I'd agree with you, but I've seen Turton put in more successful crosses than him

The problem with Pipa (last season included) is that whilst he can be a talented player who gets into some good positions, his end product is poor. He runs down blind alleys and doesn't look up enough. He could improve this with a bit of coaching but we have the likes of Rowe & Spencer knocking on the door and I'd be inclined to sell him if we can recoup the money we paid or maybe a bit more.

Liked pipa when first came but injuries have halted his progress, difficult one if money is too good then we will sell. Re being a Spanish U21 we thought the same re a Belgium u21 we had recently.

Funny old game, wind back to last October, who would have thought there would be fans saying Pipa could leave because we have Turton! For me, it's unfair to judge him on last season. The key question is whether he is completely over his injury and only the club know that. If he is, I would want to keep him but I just feel he will go elsewhere this summer.

An in-form Pipa turning up in unexpected places, running at defenders and generally causing havoc would have improved us in the final third no end. If he goes, we have Turton, with Rowe & Spencer as understudies (and we could play Sorba at RWB as well) so we do have options that mean we wouldn't have to delve straight into the transfer market even if he goes - but I'd like to see him given another year. Only down side to that strategy is that he only has 1 year (with 1 year extension in the club's favour) left on his contract - and we aren't going to get much for him if we sell him next summer. Conversely, we might not get much for him now either just because we've only seen briefly what he's capable of. Either way, his next club are getting a bargain imo.

Spencer looks promising but it's quite the step up. Give him a loan with a break clause in January. If Spencer amazes on loan it may make since to move Pipa next winter.

Pipa has lots of potential, some weaknesses as a defensive full back but he could be a really good player.
Think his contract situation will impact on the decision whether to sell or not. If he’s got a year and no intention of extending I’d get as much as we can and a nice sell-on fee.

Id rather keep him as many have said he offers something slightly different and last season he suffered a bit with injuries.
Assuming he wants to stay, give him a full pre season and set him up for what his role would be and he could be a real asset.
The thought of a 343 with Pipa and Sorba down the right is pretty great. Unless we get a silly money bid of course.

How much did we pay for him? In my head I’m sure I read it was £500k?
For me, I’d sell and for £3-4m as suggested above I’d drive him there. Koroma can go for me too, he won’t re-sign next Summer so may as well cash in. We can’t afford not to.

Pipa made 10 starts with 7 substitute appearances last season & we only lost two of those games, Forest FA cup, Forest p/o final. Of the 17 games we kept 9 clean sheets including in exactly half of the games he started.

Of the 17 games we kept 9 clean sheets including in exactly half of the games he started. That's not really much of an indicator - correlation does not equal causality. We were on an awesome run of form and he was not the cause. When he came back from injury he seemed to be trying too hard to impress, always taking on too many men etc and not doing the simple stuff. He also took a throw in from the penalty spot. Loads of potential, but frustrating. Also out of contract next summer, although we have a year's option. Decent fee? Take anything in the region of £3m.
