As we know Bale is leaving Real Madrid and wants to play with a dynamic team, even if he's not earning much money, so that he's sharp for the Wales team in Qatar for the WC at the end of they year. Latest 'rumour' is that he could team up with Thomas at Town to develop a striker pair for Wales...? Carlos and his Spanish coaching style could be an ideal continuation for Bale...

But he loves his golf and there's the unique Outlane golf course waiting for him...

Even though he rarely has a shot on goal I'd still rather see Sorba playing at centre forward than left back as he did last time I watched Wales. Not a rumour I've heard, but a hell of a coup for Cardiff if he goes there.

Bale was never going to risk a game in the championship before the world cup, was he??? Just needs to keep his fitness going for a few months.

Get the impression Bale doesn't particularly care much for playing football.
Just chasing cash.

Or maybe in the latter stages of his career he fancies a californian adventure . As opposed to the delights of Barry Island and Merthyr .
Not sure he has being getting whopping amounts when propping up the whole nation during the last decade. Never failing to turn up ( unlike many of his predecessors )

As one of the few Welsh Town fans on here I feel the need to comment.
Wales, golf and now LA F.C.
In that order.
Legend.

When Fergie was in charge at Man utd he was sometimes accused of claiming players were injured when called up for international duty, and then on the saturday they had miraculously recovered, i distinctly remember Giggs being at the centre of one of these claims, not sure if it was true or not but he was certainly accused of it. I would imagine most managers can be the same especially for meaningless friendlies, a bad injury to a key player and your season could be ruined.

Yeah Giggs missed many games .. wasn't the only one . Whereas Bale totally fucked off the biggest club side in the world for his insistence to travel over to Wales several times a year to almost single handedly propel them to euro champs and now world Cup. The boy is talking nonsense again

Bale is everything that’s wrong with football. Gets a contract on 600k a week ( that’s what the average person earns in a lifetime) then basically goes on strike for 3 years
We went to Madrid 3 years ago and he came on as sub. Had about 10 touches and gave the ball away almost every time. More interested in playing golf. Many will say he’s entitled to act like this after being given the contract. And I guess there’s a certain amount of agreement but ffs he steeling a living. Now silly LA are going to snap him up for a couple of seasons on another ridiculous contract while he plays more golf than football, but happily turns up for his beloved wales.
No wonder I despise football at times.

Divided opinions as usual on here.
I admire Bale - he refused to take any crap from the Madrid management and why the hell shouldn’t he want to represent his country?
What he has achieved in International football for a small country is nothing short of remarkable.

But yeah "he went on strike"... muppet.

I don't profess to know Bale's priorities and motivations, but I'm delighted that Real Madrid have been forced to honour the ludicrous contract they signed him to despite their best efforts at constructive dismissal.

Are you kidding me? The absolute sell out. He could have gone to the European cup devouring juggernauts notts twigs (or something) plenty of their knuckle dragging frequenters have said he’d do well to go to them? I’m genuinely puzzled he’s not gone. Has he lost all sense? When they win the prem and dominate European football he’ll soon repent for his mistakes!

Thorrington having the ball blasted in his face, then staggering around in a circle before falling to the floor was still one of the most surreal things I’ve seen at Town.

I know he was hurt, but it was definitely the funniest thing I've ever seen happen on the football pitch. It was straight out of a cartoon. PS: I don't belive his bio saying he's 5 foot 8 inches - not unless Tom Cruise is 6 foot tall 🤣

Apparently LA have to pay David Beckham's Miami team around £40K as Bale was on their list of target players 😱
