‘Dream’ move. Not sure about that. Maybe because his wife is Scottish but I can’t imagine he ever dreamed of playing for Celtic. TBH I'd have thought most blokes 'dream move' would be as far away from their wife as possible.

Lovely myself and the dog can go out to a bar whenever we want.

I’m not surprised at all. I don’t like them one bit but seems folk talking like Celtic aren’t a massive club. They’re bloody huge, Champions League etc and have just won the title. More attractive than any championship team Won the title, hardly a world shattering result. Bloody huge yes in the microcosm of Scottish football. They’re miles above anyone in this league, play European football yearly, no matter Scottish football or not they’re globally huge. I despise them but I’ll admit they’re better for him than us or anyone in this league, especially with the World Cup coming up

Not a choice for a footballer to grow in, but he is on the downward side of his career now so it is not a bad choice for him.

So yeah not great, 8-10 competitive games before the World Cup. The flip side is, Mooy has never played in a European competition let alone the champions league. A real good opportunity to tick a box for career achievement.

Heard he didn't get on with their gaffer, obviously not true.
Think it's best move for his family, money will be good and he'll get to spend more time with his children. Can't argue with that.

Thats as maybe but if you are one half of the old firm (either) then its not, a lot of players have been hassled over the years out of season going about their business wit wives partners etc he will live a good few miles away

Problem is he was in Inverness getting ready to play Valley Thistle when the alleged incident took place.

He will love The Glasgow Derby clashes for sure and with Celtic being a bit lightweight in the midfield where these games are largely won and lost the fans will appreciate him as he can look after himself and he’s been at St.Mirren so he knows about the thuggery that goes on in Scottish footy and he’ll know how lenient the referees up here are about it all - Robertson and Madden being the worst examples (tho Madden is moving to England to do Leagues 1 & 2 and all the conspiracy theorists up here are desperate to see who he declares who he supports and if he’s any sense he’ll say nearby Hamilton Accies) !
He will love the Champions League matches under the Parkhead floodlights as these games at Celtic (and Rangers) are hugely atmospheric but will likely be on the losing side most times as The Hoops will be in Pot 4 of this rigged competition, but a great test and experience it’ll be for him for sure !
He’ll get a big shock going from say v Real Madrid at The Bernabau on a Wednesday to a blizzard up at Ross County on the Saturday, or a plastic pitch and agricultural type players at Livingston, but again these things are levellers for Celtic and their massive budgets and again good experiences indeed...
Given that The Hoops also have another nickname called The Bhoys - just watch Celtic market Aaron as “Mooy The Bhoy” !!!

Still probably the best midfielder I've seen play for town. Didn't look out of place against Argentina.

A pity that he has gone out as it’s always good to see Town players and former players go as far as possible in tournaments like that...
That’s the bad point - some good coming out of it is that we may still see a Huddersfield Town type top there -
Should be a good clash between Argentina and The Netherlands though !

he had a good game, always looked to pass the ball forward, shame his team mates were not on the same page

I only saw the second half and I wasnt impressed with Mooy. Just looked so one paced in thought and deed.. and that pace was sssslllllloooowwwww.
He'll always be a Town legend and one of , if not the best we've seen, but he's not the player he was when he was here or anything like it IMO.

Watched most of it and he’s slow but he is extremely efficient with his play and his passing is sublime, he’s still Premier League quality.

Remember Jan Molby was like that. He was slow and never moved that much but could dominate the middle with his passing game. But the game so much quicker now, Im not sure a player like that would cut it anymore.
Think if he was still premier league quality he'd be starting every game for Celtic.

I thought similar but the speed and aggression of the Argentinian press, and quality of the Aussie team in general, made it hard for him. Still looks confident on the ball but played back to the passing player quite a lot rather than push on. Tough game for them all.

Probably one of the reasons why he’s strolling it in Scotland in The SPFL top Division ! I thought he had mostly been on the bench and just starting in cup competitions? I think he’d came late to Parkhead as the Australian manager likes to normally get his business done early and but Mooy was just too good an opportunity to pass up. It took him a little bit to get up to speed and Celtic have a big squad especially in midfield but he started to get his chance in The Champions League which is a really testing tournament and also when the captain Callum McGregor got a significant injury keeping him out for months... There is a fair old amount of thuggery goes on in Scottish footy and while players like Cal-Mac get rag dolled a bit, Aaron takes it in his stride and can give it and take it in equal measure... All the Hoops fans that I meet in the best footy bar here love him !!!

He's probably not quite as good as he was but I wish we had him now. Argentina are starting to hit some form & the Aussies were chasing the ball a lot, he still played well, they all did, but Argentina are a very good side, I warned people not to write them off after they lost to the Saudis.

They lost the opening game in Italia 90 against Cameroon but still got to the final. think you have to get about them much moire than the Aussies did in that second half, especially Messi. If that means taking it in turns to leave one on him, then do it. If you allow him to run at you like the Aussies were then you've got problems and I cant even remember him being fouled once. Theres quite a few teams could win this and the argies are definitely one.
