Boaty McBoatface You have 2 Blackburns, no WBA. I know not many take to Steve Bruce but we have to use him and his team.

For those still gathering data prior to entering their predictions to this thread, taking in the Not The Top Ten podcast is one of the better routes one can go. Run by two lads who really know their stuff on the EFL.

Huge overachievement last season would always be difficult to replicate. Weaker squad after being shorn of LoB, Toffolo, Colwill among others. Rookie manager who is very likely to make mistakes as he learns his craft, Also 2 coaches down, so far not replaced = Pelach and Schofield having to do Alarcon and Corberan's jobs as well as their own. I predicted 12th but tbh I think I've erred very strongly on the side of optimism. Also I think I've underestimated Hull City's chances. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them make automatic promotion, let alone playoffs.

Wind definitely taken out of our sails with post-season events, but am clinging on to fact that we still have a brilliant keeper, decent defence, Russell and Hogg solid, a front four of Sorba, Tino, Rudoni/Koroma, Ward/Rhodes and tricky wide players off the bench. Not expecting to repeat last season, but am excited to see what happens if we take the hand break off a bit more. (Not saying I prefer entertainment over results by the way, just accepting that a repeat of last season in terms of approach and results is unlikely.)

It appears that quite a few enjoyed playing last year’s competition so I don’t mind giving it another shot assuming enough enter. The aim is to predict what the Championship Table will look like at the end of the season. Predictions will be somewhat difficult with the transfer window still open for another 5 weeks, but 7 league games will have been played by then, some 15% of the schedule, which will have gone a long way to helping everyone’s predictions. You get 24 points for correctly predicting the exact position of any team, 23 for missing it by I position, 22 for missing it by 2 positions etc. For example, if you predict Burnley to be #1 and they are, you get 24 points. If they finish last you get 1 point. If you predict every position correctly you would get the maximum number of points available (576). Ties will be decided by who is closest predicting Town’s position (i.e. 24 pts kinda helps). If still tied, the number of correct predictions (Hits) is used. If you are a whizz with ProBoards and your fingers dance across a keyboard you can save time by using the ‘quote’ function and cut and paste my predictions (next post) with yours. Or you can go the manual route. If the latter, I’ve added a list of all the teams at the bottom that you can copy to help save typing time. Submissions to be in before the July 29th kick-off against Burnley. As last year, the intent is to post an update on how everybody is doing after each set of games. For those also interested in predicting every Town game, the DATM Prediction League is up and running again at LinkThe rules are listed. Previous DATM Prediction League years can be found in the archives section. Birmingham. 23 Blackburn Rovers. 14 Blackpool. 17 Bristol City. 19 Burnley. 11 Cardiff City. 15 Coventry. 5 Huddersfield Town. 18 Hull City. 21 Luton Town. 8 Middlesbrough. 1 Millwall. 7 Norwich City. 3 Preston North End. 13 Queens Park Rangers. 9 Reading. 22 Rotherham United. 24 Sheffield United. 2 Stoke City. 12 Sunderland. 16 Swansea City. 10 Watford. 6 West Bromwich Albion. 4 Wigan Athletic . 20
