Scores will be all over the place for the first 8 to 10 games so don’t despair. Looking at the current table, at the end of the season, Norwich will not be 20th, Sheffield Utd will not be 22nd, Stoke will not be 24th, Town will not be 23rd……fingers crossed on this one. Table - Matchday 1 Max Points = 576 Town = Closest to Town’s position. Higher number is better (First tie breaker) Hits = Number of correct positions (Second tie breaker)

Wow - Well done to drewden... from 31st in Matchday 1 to first place in Matchday 2 !!! Would have had more points if I took notice of a lot of posters on here, predicting Town as relegation fodder.

Standings continue to bounce around this early in the season. For example, after 3 games a win can move a team from 24th to 14th (Town). Having said that, drewden continues to occupy top spot in the table. Table - Matchday 3 Max Points = 576 Town (First tie breaker)= Closest to Town’s position. Higher number is better Hits (Second tie breaker) = Number of correct positions

Due to fact that Coventry are unable to grasp the basics of field maintenance not all teams have played the same number of games thus skewing the Championship Table standings. Table - Matchday 4 Max Points = 576 Town (First tie breaker)= Closest to Town’s position. Higher number is better Hits (Second tie breaker) = Number of correct positions

Note that not all teams have played the same number of games. Table - Matchday 10Max Points = 576 Town (First tie breaker)= Closest to Town’s position. Higher number is better Hits (Second tie breaker) = Number of correct positions Most teams have now completed 10 games, a milestone many consider a bellwether as to how the season will turn out. So any surprises? Well quite a few based on the average of DATM predictions listed at the top of this page. Overperforming: Number one has to be Reading (+18). Ince is doing a surprisingly good job. I still think the transfer restrictions they are working under will have a major impact once suspensions and injuries come into play. Rotherham (+14), another relegation candidate, has started well. Warne may finally be able to break their yo-yo cycle. Wigan (+10) and Bristol (+10) have also started much better than expected. UnderperformingThere are 3 big under-performers. One has already fired their manager which doesn’t bode well for the other 2. Middlesbrough (-19) is the biggest surprise. Pegged for autos or at least playoffs by everyone, Wilder needs to get them going or he could be the next to get the chop. WBA (-16) seems to perpetually underperform to the point that patience with Bruce must be nearing an end. The squad is just too strong to be where they are. Town (-15), obviously highly rated by us (DATM), but many outside of the John Smith’s figured differently, some even comparing us to Barnsley of last year. At this point it looks like mid table will be a great achievement
