So he lied through his teeth as he did have a job lined up. Blokes a prick 😂 hope he gets sacked after 3 months. Who says he did ? Hoyle’s interview and Bromby’s statement.

Corruption / dodgy dealings is rife in football. Then you factor in someone like Marinakis that actually has previous with it… doesn’t sit right

Be amazed if we dont demand compensation same as we'd get if they just approached us for our manager.
getting him to resign first doesnt mean he can walk into the job he had lined up without compensation being due, though the guy who owns forest and Olympiacos will give anything underhand a try it seems judging by his record.
Carlos is a c***. The club backed him and showed great patience in him when results were shite.. and in return he's fucked us over.

From what I Understand the club are absolutely fuming about this.. A bit of compo would come in handy when the Canalside heating bills start arriving this winter...

It seemed obvious he had something lined up because he took his deputy with him. "Come with me my friend and you can be unemployed."

Olympiacos still had a manager in place when Carlos resigned. Martins got sacked just a few days ago, after they got knocked out of Champions League qualifying by Maccabi Haifa.
Maybe - though it's a stretch - Carlos had an eye on the job; but there was no job - so I don't see how anyone can accuse him of lying.
I'm as disappointed as anyone that he left, but conspiracy theories don't do anyone any favours.

I don't think he had this lined up as it only came about when Olympiakos got knocked out the Champs League last week. Think if the plan was to appoint him without the expense of giving Town the compensation due ( which IMO it was ) then theyre not so daft that they'd just move him straight into the job. They'd wait for the first convenient opportunity and losing in the CL is an ideal one. If not that then first time they lose a league game. They've fucked us over basically , or are trying to.

It seemed obvious he had something lined up because he took his deputy with him. "Come with me my friend and you can be unemployed." like O'Brien and Toffolo, they come as a pair! Carlos and Jorge have worked together for a while. It's possible that they had a pact that if one goes the other follows. But something like this is more likely unfortunately.

I remember an interview a week or so ago where Schofield said him and Carlos haven't spoke since he resigned. A picture might be starting to emerge here.

Exactly. So to the guy who told me to STFU when I said Carlos shit it and us. Fuck you. We’ve been well and truly fucked over. Imagine this happening to a Leeds/Villa etc - there would be bloody hell on outside the stadium.

Surely in that case any manager approached by a club who can’t afford to pay out his contract can just resign and join the club? Can we not take them to court over this?

Disregarding the play off final for a start, if they are in contact with Carlos for a job it’s easy to see how that would help with the negotiations for our players. What’s he on? How much will they accept? Etc. Their agents would share this information with a club.. nothing to do with a Carlos. Why bother trusting an agent with their own agenda when you get it from your prospective employee?

So, Carlos' statement. Decision to depart out of mutual respect or whatever he said. The reason behind it being bullshit as he's been tapped up, saying there's a job waiting for him at Olympiacos, and the current manager will be got rid of at the first chance he gets. And maybe a promise he's next in line at Forest if Cooper is sacked. Put yourself in his position here:
There's a problem. 3 weeks til the season starts and no certainty on the timing of this new job. The chairman who hired and stuck by me is out of the building, the new one has said to replace any outgoings with academy players. I want to leave. So, rather than wait until the job actually comes about and REALLY fuck up Town's season preparations, resign as soon as possible and wait.
This could be where the stuff about respect and alignment in his statement really comes from. But it relies on there being an agreement while he's still in the Town job, so we could feasibly get compensation if this is true

Forest fans absolutely ripping us a new one, it’s quite funny really especially all those that stuck up for Hoyle, I mean he has taken the word thick to the next level. Selling obrien and toffolo to them after the playoff final, then to lose Carlos too god his ego must be hurting

He left because after a successful season, with tv appearances galore, the play-offs, a Wembley final, 16,000 season tickets sold and player sales of over £10m, he was to be given under £1m to reinvest in the squad. He was already performing miracles with what he had and the job was getting worse. Simple as that.

An opinion like yours on Hoyle.. not based on facts just an opinion. Is that OK with you ?? You don't know whether Carlos was a liar or not whereas Hoyle has form for sacking managers. No I dont but it's my opinion that he had had contact before walking out on us... a bit like you have your opinions on Hoyle and O'Brien. One difference being I wont keep repeating my opinion on Carlos month after month like you do yours. I don't ask you for facts to back up your opinion so jog on pal and get back to your Hoyle and O'Brien obsessions.

Carlos left because Dean takes no S**t, the contact happened some time ago and town found out, Carlos was not at the club for a few weeks before, during pre season because he was told to stay away until an agreement was reached between Carlos and the club. He was basically dismissed but we didn’t want to pay him off and if he got the job we wanted chance of getting compo we now have a chance to get some compo. Note he wasn’t offered the job but told they were interested and he had some discussions. Carlos has screwed us over, but we move on with someone in charge we can trust now.
