Sad in a way for them - but could it be to the advantage of HTAFC if we could reel them nearer to us points wise and suck them into the dreaded battle of relegation if they have to increase their rental terms or even worse upsticks and move home which I’m sure would have a negative psychological effect on them...
That said - it would need to be for the above reasons as they have more than bettered us on the field of play this season so far for sure !

The latest on the whole Coventry City / WASPS / Coventry Arena. Mike Ashley who bought the Arena have issued Coventry City with an eviction notice. Obviously trying to force a change to the rental agreement. What would he do with an empty stadium? They should call his bluff. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63858805Ideal site for one of his distribution warehouses, just off junction 3 of the M6 Very true.

On the bright side, Burton on Trent is a far easier journey by rail than Coventry.

The bloke is an utter c***, and I’ll take a ban for calling him that. Doesn’t give a monkeys chuff about anything but money. He’s got an army of dickheads that couldn’t work in a proper company environment who keep things going, defend him to the hilt because they have to.

From memory Coventry postponed 3 home matches this season, all at very short notice including ours, all games that they appear to have known could not have taken place wasting time and people’s money without punishment basically because they say it’s not our problem, it’s the landlords, just as they are saying now. Surely when the EFL agreed that Coventry could continue they would have checked that any stadium purchase would have allowed the cloud to continue playing there!

What money was wasted because our matcg st Cov was cancelled? How can EFL check that the ground owner is not going to sell it to someone else?

Looks like Coventry City have done a deal to stay at their stadium until the end of the season - it’s on The BBC Football page for Sunderland v WBA but further down it but I’ve no idea how to lift it up onto DATM - but it looks like Town will be playing them there after all !

CCFC have been ordered to pay compensation to Town for the postponement of the match earlier this season due to the pitch issues, also receive a suspended points deduction if in breach of Efl rules before end of next season........30 points from last 15 games it could be a PL problem next year?

5 point suspended points deduction seems a bit lenient bearing in mind it was the first 3 games of the season and all postponded at very short notice. But at least clubs know now that if this happens to them the punishment is 1.6666666666666666 recuring points deduction. Strange figure per game

Coventry punctured the Corberan/WBA bubble in yesterday's ex-Town managers' battle.....win their game in hand, and they'll be in 5th place. Seems like only yesterday that they were keeping Town off the bottom spot.

Robins is currently 4th in the managers table (Mar 17), it was his 53rd birthday yesterday so a nice pressie from the team.........shows loyalty from both sides does workout sometimes, after he was forgiven 1st time round, when poached by HTFC.

If we are looking to bring some players in during the January transfer window to improve things why don’t we make the pitch unplayable for the Rotherham and Luton games and play them later with a stronger squad. We will only get a suspended points deduction.

It does but they haven't sold their best players. They sold their centre half to Blackburn didn’t they? Fair point but still have genuine striking ability not prematurely knackered cart horses.
