You have to say paying Clattenburg is a good idea from Forest
Not too sure about that. Think it is just as likely to backfire as referees don't usually take kindly to being told they are wrong and Notts have now appointed someone to do just that. Add in the fact that Clattenburg was braying on the ref's door after the match. I doubt that went down too well with Tierney and his workmates. So maybe these antics will be at the back of the ref's minds even before they even kick-off in future and they might want to put the arrogant buggers at Notts firmly back in their place?

You have to say paying Clattenburg is a good idea from Forest They’ve really made the ref - Tierney- the story here and it’s universally agreed he’s got the decision wrong. The bloke will hopefully get dropped from a few games (after Wembley he should have been dropped!) Town were the wrong end of many big calls in the premier league, like Milner handball when we played Liverpool or Pritchard a whisker off side in the same game. Lots more There was zero media interest but if you have someone respected like clattenburg quoting the reasons it’s wrong it gets the media interest/ gives them a story I doubt Forest will be the wrong side of more poor decisions as refs won’t want the spotlight tierney has this morning … and clattenburg will put them under the spotlight and the media will now follow the “hard done to Forest” storyline now as it’s a talking point It's just another example of how messed up football is when individual clubs are appointing their own referee analysts. It's pathetic. Would love to know how much he's getting paid; there must be thousands of people who work in football that laugh themselves to sleep every night. I doubt very much that it will get decisions in Forest's favour when they're up against the big clubs; and if I was a referee it would probably make me go against them even more.

It’s still absolutely fantastic seeing Forest fuming about bad decisions. Considering everything karma has been very quick acting.

I see what you mean - and hope you're right and I'm wrong as I would like Forest to go down and I think it's great they are livid with Tierney of all refs! Just my theory that Premier League refs try to avoid being the story. So they don't give big decisions against the big sides for fear of being singled out by the likes of Pep, Klopp and the rest in their post match presser. Those managers knowing the journos want the story to write about and the refs don't want to risk being demoted When smaller sides like Town got loads of bad calls the pundits give it maybe 20 seconds of them the breaks and that's it. However could you imagine the uproar if Virgil Van Dijk got a second yellow off Mike Dean because Dean had booked him and wasn't clear about it to the player. Or if John Stones got smashed in the face by Sam Vokes and left the pitch with two black eyes and a bleeding nose and Vokes only got a yellow. The ref in both those games would be under massive scrutiny and they're just a few examples we had Going to be interesting whether Forest get more bad calls - personally I hope they do!

Looking forward to them getting their inevitable points deduction and hopefully relegation.
Seeing them thanking the cheating bastard ref on the town hall balcony after the playoff final still grates on me, so to see them blame the refs and VAR every week is hilarious 😂

Alluding to a point made earlier this appointment of clattenberg might be the final nail as refs aren’t going to like being critiqued every week by one of their own supposedly. It’ll make it worse for them in a lot of ways!

Last two home games the Ref has walked off to “ You don’t know what you’re doing” Good Refs don’t get noticed - we are getting bad ones on a consistent basis this season.

Clattenburg was motioned by Moss, he got a bonus for doing it.

A Twig told me "to move on".

Whenever I see yet another instance of Forest losing it to a questionable refereeing decision, I get this image of a Forest fan before Wembley using up one of his wishes from the cursed monkey's paw.
As long as they're in that division, they're cursed to be on the wrong end of the decisions, because of how they got there.

Wait until Stavros and Clattenburg discover that the ball wasn't fully on the centre spot when the second half kicked off. A replay is the only fair outcome.

Clattenburg should just stick to watching men in lycra fighting with random people.

A bad decision given against you in the middle of the field is never an excuse for failing to defend the next move properly.

Nothing influences someone’s decision making like a chap who used to do their job telling them how they should be doing it better.
