Can't for the life of me understand why anyone would be going for Carrick or Big Dunc. About the same level of experience at managing as Danny - this is not a 'learning' appointment. We need someone who knows the division inside and out, knows the club and the way it works so he can hit the ground running with no fucking about, and even better if he knows Hoggy - the main man. So it's Wagner. All this talk about ruining his legacy - madness - he's a football manager not the emperor of Rome. Comes in and does a great job - wonderful. Comes in and doesn't go well - won't affect what I think of the job he did to get us promoted. I can’t understand why anyone would think we can afford Carrick. And big Dunc. And Terry. And Dyche. And Barry. Etc. etc. The only reason they would come is if they saw us as a fa stic opportunity to cut their teeth. Which they’re not, because we’re restricted in the market until Jan, we’re rock bottom and we ain’t gonna chuck cash at them.

Carrick, Barry, all these rookies, it's just not what we need.
We need experience, a man who knows the Championship and has a proven track record.
Although I know that comes at a premium ££

Bromby more or less said forget these big names in football on the list. Look more at the Rotherhams, Plymouths and Wagner, maybe Carlos to come back, nothing would surprise me with this club anymore

So who'd have Carlos back then? More importantly would the players want him back after he walked out on them a few weeks before the season started? Skybet have him at 25/1 to return.

No bloody way .Judas. Got exactly what he deserved I wouldn’t go so far as to call him Judas as we don’t actually know the full reason for him leaving. If it was due to lack of ambition then he had a valid reason to leave But want him back? It’s a no from me

He left because of what he saw as a lack of ambition by the club, pure and simple, and I don’t blame him for thinking he couldn’t repeat what he did last season without 2 of his best players whilst inferior replacements were coming in that he had no say on. I wasn’t particularly impressed at his timing but you have to think he only got the lay of the land after returning from holiday by which point pre-season was kicking in. Never a massive fan though - didn’t think his brand of football was particularly great - but would acknowledge he did fantastically well to get us to 3rd place last season. Would I have him back? It’s a big fat no from me.

Agree with much of that but If he did leave for ‘lack of ambition’ by the club, I am sure he will be reflecting on this versus the loyalty (and time!) the club showed/gave him when the results and many fans turned against him at the start on 2021!

I think Carlos might be reassessing how much he values ambition against loyalty this morning.

I feel like the clubs tweets are strange over the last 18 hours or so. But I don’t know if I’m reading too much into it. The 4 tweets with the first words as: “Feet up, consider it signed” The Wagner late on last night And, this is clutching at straws - but starting the last tweet with the word “today”. However, given the context it is in it might be considered to be in bad taste to include some sort of cryptic message. It’s probably nowt. I’ve forgotten what the clubs twitter is like after a win also as it’s been that long 🤣

Possibly along with not being able to put content out today as they normally would. They squeezed it in yesterday. Got to admit some of them were bizarre though

This time we've got to be more ambitious. We need someone that internationals and Chelsea players on loan with us will respect for their track record. For me, it needs to be Carrick or Wagner from the current list. Would be happy enough with this or even Ainsworth , he was keen on the job when the Cowley`s got it & is not a rookie manager I'm not sure about Ainsworth, he comes across as a bit of a jokey character to me. The whole rock image makes him look a bit amateur to me

I said he was a 'good shout' on a thread entitled 'New gaffer odds'. I didn't say that I wanted him at our club.
